Recommended the filter button, Trolls really don't care or believe in the slightest in what they're talking about, it's all about getting under someone's skin, they (laughably, look up Pyrrhic victory) think if they get a response they've won, what exactly I've never been able to figure out 0_o GL serious investors and chancers like me.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive northeast of Kharkiv is making significant progress and will likely advance to the Russian border in the coming days or weeks. Russian forces may be conducting a limited withdrawal in the face of successful Ukrainian attacks and reportedly destroyed three bridges to slow the Ukrainian advance. Armies generally only destroy bridges if they have largely decided they will not attempt to cross the river in the other direction anytime soon; Russian forces are therefore unlikely to launch operations to retake the northeast outskirts of Kharkiv liberated by Ukrainian forces in the near future. Russian forces previously destroyed several bridges during their retreat from Chernihiv Oblast—as did Ukrainian forces withdrawing in the face of the Russian offensive in the initial days of the war.

Hopeful I don't think there's logic here, I'm suspecting Liz Truss' is on a crusade to prove she's tougher than Margaret Thatcher. Sanctions on Evraz will obviously mean that all the railway tracks instantly melt and the wheels won't go around anymore, there's going to be stores of spares in Russia I would imagine, so it's just the usual government making decisions that are poorly, if at all, thought through.

Taking a look at the possibilities, Polly isn't on the list of 'Russian' companies on the FTSE? https://topforeignstocks.com/listed-companies-lists/the-complete-list-of-russian-companies-listed-on-london-stock-exchange/ And I remember the suspension of the listing was announced of 'Russian focused' companies. The main bug bear before the railway lines excuse was that Russian companies listed on FTSE pay money and taxes to Russia, effectively supporting the war effort. I tried the Evraz website through a VPN via Greece, I couldn't access it but a different landing page appeared with a captcha but couldn't get through it.

Schadenfreude.

Morning FA, I can't know if they're being used as shields, wouldn't claim to, but yea you may be missing logistics, imagine two lots of soldiers observing each other in a huge sprawling bombed out complex, they want each other dead, and getting hated opposition civilians out, there's wounded to be moved over rubble, they all need to be checked on the way out, one gunshot and they're all in the middle of a firefight, neither side trusts the other because cease fire agreements are being broken etc etc, bit tense there methinks 0_o

If VP is planning on declaring victory on the 9th of May, then the Pope is naive for saying it beforehand, given VP's arrogance and contrarian nature, but does give some hope for the 9th (fingers crossed).
