B1 represents the Crown Jewels of the KSZ, a vindication of the technology, a precursor to deeper drills in the GRS.

The reference to previous holes is valid and looks to BTs modus operandi. The difference is they're looking & wanting to declare a discovery with B1. Not sure if there's a set definition outlining a discovery whether possible at this early stage or whether it takes 3-4 months for all the tests and updated imaging.

To quote Ben, "its the most important hole ever drilled in the KSZ" and there's a lot at stake so a bit of anxiety is to be expected after 7(?) weeks on a single medium depth hole. This is high risk high return and a commercial find massively de-risks the KSZ.

Personally I'd have drilled the KSB first which is much lower risk and still a company making project.

The drill is going away from the stacked system so it doesn't matter how deep it goes, it won't hit that system.

I heard the same comments but if you think a delay is going to be a week, is that a reportable event?

Metalhead: my view is mechanical failure and it hasn't been a quick fix, or, they decided to re-target aiming for the upper or lower part of the conductor which could be thicker. Not sure I buy the external review, there's a team of experienced geologists so unless its a new mineral they would know within 24 hours the key components in the core. They've had time to cut sections of core, to fly it to Leicester , Perth or Johannesburg and have a lab do some basic mass spectrometer tests

At times tweets fill a grey area where a company wishes to communicate without an RNS and there arguably examples where tweets have been used that ought to have been an RNS.

There's a difference between reporting material price sensitive news eg discovering commercial mineralisation and let's say comments about tough drilling conditions slowing progress.

BT uses twitter a lot when it suits his purpose but I think his comments in respect of B1 in Dec and more recently have been very slow when drills haven't gone to plan and twitter could have been more effectively used to soft signal the market.

If it turns out Voisey Bay has no relevance then I would find that tweet potentially misleading in context of KAVs current activities.

Last time I looked the tweet had 40 likes so the market thinks it's a grey sign for mineralisation.

Looks like the juniors in London are starting to get traction. And for the first time in a while #optimism seems to be the order of the day. Brilliant for the private investors who maintained their belief. Managed to finish this recently, well worth a read.

What's the context and the interest in coal seams?

I was looking at the slides and wondered if the conductor is one continuous sloping structure or comprised upper and lower sections and whether 525m is about the middle but its very difficult to tell as KAV have not released a detailed pictures.

Doubtless someone will point out they're professionals and know what they're doing.

This is just a theory and could be rubbish, they hit a thin bit of conductor, in-between the main sections, DHEM showed better much thicker targets above/below and they're changing the drill +- 50m. Given the technical difficulties and cost of this drill, they need decent results to get a Major on-board to fund a comprehensive drilling campaign.
