The rot set in Dec because you don't expect to get to the end of scheduled drill to find out they only reached 350m rather than 650m. BT knew weeks beforehand they wouldn't complete and says nothing until the end whereas he should have flagged the difficulties. Then the restart is delayed, no reason stated but it was either Mindea issues or the geos were interpreting the 350m DHEM, if it were the latter they ****ed up big time because they 4 weeks to analyse and still failed to spot two structures and this time no excuses for the Kalahari cover.

The lack of focus for a small cap is bonkers. If BT wants to set up a newco and develop Molopo separately then fine but not with my money.

Something's gone wrong so KAV have not fulfilled their obligations hence BT wanting to save face and launch a new offer.

Net 9 weeks to drill 650m, hardly cracking pace....but, but, but.....

My issue is words like "rest assured" and "winner" which are inappropriate given the risks, there are no guarantees.

I'm slightly concerned when Ben starts talking about other KSZ target areas, feels like a blunderbuss fishing approach when the failed to nail down areas A & B requiring at least 5000m of new drilling this year, until they declare a discovery or write it off an non commercial, that's where they need to focus. on validating the conductors.

2p would be an overreaction but 3.1p looks about right without further news. To remind you they started the B1 drill 22nd Nov, it was completed to 650m around 28th Feb. TDEM model got the conductor wrong, first DHEM at 350m got the conductor wrong . It was certainly realistic to expect they'd hit one of the targets.

The bit I didn't buy is that DHEM at 350m couldn't distinguish the conductors and it was only as they hit the middle of the target it became apparent. Supposedly the old diagram showing multiple conductors wasn't multiple conductors although they're now saying it's at least two conductors possibly more. Someone messed up big time but it's blamed on protocol.

KCB is a different drilling rig. The limiting factor is cash.

Ella10: excellent question, they had the benefit of new DHEM, they even produced new powerpoint slides so why didn't they target the strongest reading?

I notice Mindea have not been praised in the RNS, more like a clusterf of a drill.

The situation was predictable in that the original slide on B1 does show two blurry upper and lower zones. I did suggest the centre was nothing but it is surprising they didn’t re-drill based on the 350mDHEM.
