I beg to differ regarding russian pensions. The gross pension, not the pension increase was $260 dollars a month. Makes for sumwhat different reading I think.

I would say by now the world knows how to judge johnson. He is a wannabe (in his mind at least) Churchill. He needs any distraction possible, not only to distract from the failing state of the UK economy but also to remove himself from the "drudge" of normal PM duties (curing the chaos he has caused) and to build his ego and sense of self importance. The rest of the world will do what they want and think right, johnson is a non issue to them all in my view.

I agree that governments do need to do more, but they often fall foul of vested interests, focusing on the wrong things. (smart meters are an example here). We are very poorly represented, basically by selfish, biased bully boys (I class patel as a man). Anyway, as this is not Poly related I will say no more.

I see nothing in your post to imply in any way that russia is a part of this at all, just a statement that the west has to negotiate. Only one thing will stop vp, appeasement. That is the only thing that will stop the fighting, it will end up going that way, then when he is gone, hopefully his replacement will be more reasonable.

So, to you VP has nothing to do with any move to negotiation (which he has no desire to do it seems). OK, when a bully takes over a fifth of your home, kills one of your loved ones and sets up shop there, don't be in any way aggrieved if your cries for help go unheeded.
This will only stop when VP wants it to, and not before. At the moment he's quite happy to kill hundreds of civilians a week by long distance bombardment. Sanctions are not distracting him, diplomacy is of no effect either. Bullies only understand one thing and unfortunately he can hold the world to ransom if others do to him what he is doing to Ukrainians. Deflect all you like, but it's that simple.
