Hi Tim. I'm with Interactive Investor. For me the whole process, from instructing them, to receiving certificate took about eight working days. I think I'm right in saying that Computershare are no longer handling this so it's possibly down to Evraz themselves to administer paperwork. You may wish to confirm this with Evraz.
I wouldn't worry your name is recorded somewhere, and it will just take a bit longer. Please check and confirm for yourself though.

That is your view. Unlike the smaller EU nations, others have the money to ride out the storm.
What you have just done is argue against motor insurance. Nobody likes paying for it, but most realise the value of it. That does not stop some 'opting out' so to speak though, and they sometimes suffer the consequences of that..

It is not as you say "Russian anti hysteria" most understand that it's not in any way the wish of ordinary RRussian people, It is the realisation that some in a nation or it's leader cannot be trusted and that alternative options have to be considered/enacted. Yes, people vote in governments (in the west at least (mostly sometimes)) and those voters understand what hardships wars cause. They will not wish to relive them.

As with all of these things time will tell, but unlike 20 years ago, now, other options are starting to be available. Only 'old school' thinking denies this.

Wait. You've done all you can. It's all up to Evraz and outside conditions now. (As I see it). Just compare the situation with that of holding electronic shares in any other company, (pre sanctions), it's just the same though 'Old School' as you have a paper cert.

Nope i don't see it. Long term stability, security of both supply and nationhood and unity all have a value. You can't make money if you're at war. That value will be asigned by the state, by groups of states and by political leanings. The agression has caused a reawakening of cold war realisations. Europe and the west can mostly suck up the small penalty, it will accelerate the move from fossil fuels to greener ones as the reasons are now even more pressing.

Last week gave Interactive Investor my instructions regarding certs being required from my trading acc (ISA left as is).
I got the Computershare information letter, logged on and confirmed all details on Thursday. Today I've just got my share certificate from Evraz via Interactive Investor.
All seems to have gone quite slickly.
Now let's see what transpires.

It's simply a testament to the higher standard of living and hence higher employment/repair costs in the west. Electronic modules are not fault diagnosed then repaired, they are replaced, as technicians capable enough are employed in original part manufacture with high wages. Very capable people in all professions in the east are still 'cheap' to employ and so are used to diagnose and fix these complex parts. My last three cars were not scraped due to corrosion, or mechanical 'wearing out' they were scraped due being unecomic to repair locally due to electronics module failiure..

I would never wish to pry into your personal circumstances, but would say, that things here can turn on a sixpence. It may I accept take a couple of years to reach £13 but if you keep off the big cigars, moderate the 20yr old single malt and wave goodbye to the dancing girls, (as I hope to do) with any luck at all, we will both see the "Lucky 13". As you I'm sure, well know, this is an odd thing that we all doth enjoy and endure. It is the most wonderous of gifts.

I agree, they seem on the ball with things. I'm happy with their handling of the Evraz share certificate issue also. ISA's can be transferred within the wrapper so as not to loose their ISA status.

Regarding getting paper certs or not...

As my ave ISA price is £1.04 and using historical dividend levels of 50% to 80% PA I see no reason to sell my shares, and am happy to save in the region of £6k a year in tax. That there may be some form of extended share sale process in the future is at this time unknown. Others may think otherwise.
