I don't think anyone can answer this question, but I wonder why google hasn't adjusted the historical share prices for AML.
I hold some shares in LND (Landore) which did a 1 to 20 consolidation too, on 20 August. Price used to be around 1p, now 20p, but when you google the historical price chart, all the prices before August have been scaled up by 20.
Same with Tesla, I don't know the date when they split, but google has reduced the $2000+ prices to the equivalent post-split prices of $400 ish.
So for AML google should be showing Friday's price as £14.17, not 70.85p, but they haven't done this, so you can't see the historical trends any more.
When IAG had their rights issue, Google adjusted the historical prices by the 5 to 2 factor, the closing price on the day before (around 195p) was retrospectively changed to 135p or so to reflect the dilution, but this was misleading as since your shares only retained their value proportional to the market cap if you subscribed to the rights.
