Bought in on the premise that the EP was due in "a few weeks", this was 9 months ago. Again, this is kind of a good thing, as the share has gone from 4p to 11p largely on hype.

The MMs have a set number of shares they would have bought at 111p before lowering the price. This would likely have depended on the amount of buy orders at 113p as the MMs would have wanted to flog the shares off ASAP. Perhaps your order was sent through 0.1 seconds later than another order which was accepted, after which the MMs lowered the bid to 110p.

If you sold 9 tickets at 113 you can buy 10 back with the same amount of money.

ARB trades on the LSE. Americans can trade ARB during the exact same hours as anyone else in the world, but they are usually sleeping when the LSE opens. People on the east coast will probably start trading around noon UK time.

Exactly this. People like to talk about taxing Musk and Bezos billions (and Richard Branson) but if they were forced to pay $1B to a government personally they would have to sell their shares and which way would the share price go when they started selling?

Someone buying today at 25p might expect to see 66p in a year (broker valuation) so around 2.5x gain. If majority of PIs are holding, the price mainly moves because of short-term traders. People buying into ARB etc. think they can get the 2.5x gain in a few weeks. GGP SP stays static for weeks then shoots up (and down) in a matter of days. So they may well be able to get back in to GGP at the same price

No stamp duty here. Fees are insignificant or you are getting rinsed. I use iweb. £5 per trade so if I buy £500 worth, I pay £505. If the ask price is 1.20 my effective price is 1.212, if I buy £2000 the effective price is 1.203, hardly a problem I wanted to buy at 1.2 and sell at 1.25.

I've jumped in and out of KAT banking 20% each time, as Coetzee repeatedly fails to meet his next deadline. I suppose one day KAT will eventually get somewhere and it will be down to luck whether I am in or out at that time.

The previous time I sold, I decided to put all the money into KIBO instead of back into KAT. Now up 50% there although this was completely unexpected by me - was thinking it would just chug along at 0.2p for ages. Sliced profits and waiting for an opportunity to buy KAT again at under 2p.

If I was holding KAT now I would have tried to get my book cost down to 1p or less and then just wait.

The same thing happened the first time we hit 30p several months ago.

Many so-called investors don't seem to understand this. Whatever the value of your shares now is money you could invest elsewhere now. The only important thing is where you go from here.

If you have a million ALBA shares, they are currently worth £3400. That is £3400 available to you, it is completely irrelevant whether you bought them at the peak of 0.58p or a long time ago at 0.05p.

The only question to ask yourself is, if you had £3400 cash to invest now, would you put it into ALBA at 0.34p or GDR at 88p? If you would choose GDR then you should sell ALBA. Maybe you would choose to split it 50/50, which means you should sell half your ALBA.

The slight difficulty with this is that AIM share prices are heavily manipulated and based on sentiment, and it is hard to predict when news will come.

Can buy at 88p. Happy with the shares I bought at 40p, not so happy with those I bought at 110p but that might change soon.
