We need BP and Shell to threaten to take tax residency out of the UK if there are any more windfall taxes. The government get over 40% of the cost of petrol at the pump as tax I believe, I heard that Germany government has reduced its tax take by something like 25% to help their citizens. I am a BP shareholder and a proud one.

Recently the price of copper has dropped significantly. If the IPO had been pressed ahead then the price obtained would have most likely been at the bottom end of what is hoped. Assuming that the aim is to raise a certain amount to progress the production then the result would be more shares in the IPO and a dilution of AAUs interest in Venus. Which means our interest. Sener has talked about retaining 'significant' interest in Venus, which I interpret (with no knowledge on what he means as he didn't define it) to be 25-30%.
I notice that over the past few days copper price is recovering a bit. So maybe the IPO will be soon?

As you know I like a nice aeroplane museum. In my volunteer job yesterday I removed the fin and tailplane off Cosfords 1916 Sopwith Pup as it needs some canvas repaired on the rear fuselage. Nerve wracking as its an original aircraft not a replica.

I agree fatprofits, just on reflection HLN isn't my thing. I do think this current inflationary period is going to hurt premium products. Put it this way, I have never been and Aldi/ Lidl sort of chap but I now find myself sneaking in there more often and thinking 'actually this is pretty good for quite a few items'. Help me.....

I decided to ditch my Haleon shares a couple of days back at just under £3.20 and reinvest the proceeds in more GSK. The SP movement in the 2 has been favourable since. Logically, if that's how you can describe what passes as such with me, I would never have invested originally in a pure consumer products company marketing flashy and expensive generic items at a time when consumers are feeling the pinch and will be looking for cheaper alternatives.

Believe me speedy I hope you are right. I have a reasonable interest both here and in Ariana (the latter has been good for me over the years but has been abysmal lately). I think gold at say $3000 would have me replacing my 17 year old Porsche!

If I had a tenner for each time I have seen predictions of £2500 per oz , of $3000, $4000.....
Well I would be significantly richer than I am now!

Sad thing is that I am not going to the AGM because I cant be bothered and I don't want to incur the cost to go down to London when I feel this frustrated with the the Board. We never get any straight answers from them anyway. Show me 4p, which I think this is worth, and I'm gone.
