Just to clarify, if you sell a share in the UK and within 30 days (note days, not working days) buy those shares back then you are deemed to have re-acquired the shares you sold. The CGT is then the gain or loss from that 'matched' transaction, the gain or loss doesn't look though to any further shares you hold in the same company. Clearly this gets more complex under certain buying/ selling patterns and doesn't apply to ISA/ SIPPs etc

Here's hoping Mr C! I am worried about this becoming another Sirrius (which I dodged thankfully), cash raise after cash raise, eventually unable to raise any more with equity holders wiped out.
At 20p any cheeky bid would succeed in my opinion, possibly at 5p less than that. I'll be honest , I'd accept either because this project is going absolutely nowhere at present. As I have expressed before, from what I can see the BoD are just sitting round on their arses drawing fat salaries, drinking tea. eating biscuits and hoping for a miracle. In the meantime the rest if us shareholders get poorer every week. Or should that be every day?

Shouln't the company make some sort of statement about this?

So it confirms that Ozaltin, who never spent at penny in its own right at Salinbas now own 53% for $8m into the JV and (from memory $2.5m) a small direct payment to AAU. Now getting a deserved hard ride over Panmure Gordon. They seem rattled, they should me. In fact MDV is being dismissive and rude

We have had 2 special dividends. A 0.35p a 0.175p and another due in October of 0.175p (not yet xd) if approved at the AGM. After that no definite plans for regular divis just vague talk, but if/when it wont be anything like .175p

Maybe Stranger. There is always a suspicion that will happen where there are presentation in which 'no new information will be divulged during the meeting' takes place, Doesn't often happen but then again it sometimes does! has been a bit of appreciation in the SP, so here's hoping.

Not sure what your question is about SP movement.
There is little positive news, there is no laid out timetable to advance the mine, the cash balance is running out and to do anything a great deal of finance will be needed. If a cash raise through equity is attempted that will need to be at a discount to the then current SP which at best will be 8p or probably less. At that price many millions of shares will need to be added all of which will be identical to those already circulating meaning big dilution to existing shareholders.
This is fundamental information for investors. If you are going to seriously invest you should do some reading round, either by book or on the internet.

I think the facts are that lithium is needed worldwide, Europe in particular has a very important car industry that will need battery grade lithium in very short order. ZNWD cannot realistically go alone with this development in a reasonable time frame. If the EU recognise lithium as a strategic material I suppose some funding could conceivably materialise but we cant just sit indefinitely in the hope that will occur. Alternatives are going it alone but that implies eye watering dilution at a depressed share price or borrowing in a period of increasing interest rates which risks a Sirrius Minerals re-run for shareholders. Far better to complete the recently announced infill drilling to further prove up the resource and, with that data to hand, go for a JV or simply sell the company. All in my opinion, no problem with anyone saying I have it wrong - would love to hear other opinions.

Yes Levi I noticed. I cant see that this affects AAU unless there is confusion over the 2 companies.
