Thanks for that. Does worry me slightly that all the affordable 'classic cars' have probably already been made. In future all but the most expensive classic cars will cease to be economic to maintain. Who is going to be able to maintain cheap modern cars once the various ECUs (engine, ABS etc etc), dual plate clutches, parking sensors, metal folding roofs, soft close doors etc etc fail? Anyway most of the cars with early electronic dashboards and satnavs don't look so much classic as laughable!

Glad you liked the X150. I know that its technologically left behind by the F but I do like the alloy construction and definitely like the looks. I probably wouldn't go for the R, I think the non supercharged 4.2 or 5 litre is totally adequate for me and looks are somehow more elegant without all the testosterone modifications. Owning oil company shares means I shouldn't have to worry about fuel....
Talking of which, at my local filling station petrol is 119.7 and diesel 131.7. Essentially diesel is now 10% more than petrol. Government duty on fuel has been frozen for many years so that differential cant be explained by that. In many countries in Europe diesel is cheaper than petrol. Its my conclusion that they are taking the p*ss, knowing that with the Governments stance on discouraging diesel use means nothing will be said about their profiteering.

Have to admit the Duke would never come into consideration. Apart from anything I have an aversion to Japanese cars.
I like the X150, but the coupe rather than the convertible. The VED rates put me off, but I suppose that partly keeps the value down, besides I would only have it on the road a few months a year.
Few other modern cars interest me. In fact I struggle to think of one.
Doing my paperwork today I realised I had mentally lost count and have more HUR than I realised. I bloody hope this works!

So 75 holes drilling 10,000 metres, so about 400 feet each (sorry for the mix of units).
I guess maybe questions on the subject may be best left to the forthcoming London presentations.
Looking forward to those, I even started a list of things I want to get out of it! Of course it has been stressed that no new information will be presented, we can but ask.

The X150 type Jaguar XK grand tourers/sports cars.

Had my eye on them for some time. What do you think? They may still be coming down in price in the shadow of the F Type. The earlier X100 XKs are if anything starting to increase in value, but do like the X150.

What is your take or should I stay safe with a Cayman?

The only people who could ever have been happy would have been UKIP if we had literally walked on 24th June '16, or remain if the Referendum had returned a no vote.
People don't like May. I'm ambivalent. I think she ended up with a job which was bound to end in personal and professional disaster. In some ways I feel a bit sorry for her.

I agree that fundamentally democracy is great. Ok your choice may not cross the finishing line but you will normally have another go in a few years time (although JC could do a shedload of damage in the 5 years between GEs I feel. Heaven forbid he may nationalise HUR!).
The difference here is that this was a democratic vote (which arguably the electorate didn't understand one way or the other) which was almost too close to call. Unlike a GE we aren't scheduled to have another say in a few years...ever in fact. It was a one off, so then is it any surprise that the (very) narrow losers are in such a kerfuffle about it?
We were always bound to get a pants deal else the integrity of the remaining EU 'club' would be at danger of imploding by others seeking the same.
I feel I ought to say at this point that I voted out, and would again tomorrow. I wont however give my reasons for that.

Hopefully you wont mind me directing this at you, but you always seem better clued up than me!
Is this Q2 2019 RC drilling a single hole (seems on the face of it unlikey as that is one deep hole), a planned number of holes totalling 2000m, or is it a case of drilling the first hole until it is judged there is nothing more to see and moving on?
I am assuming that the plan is to drill the current best prospect where permits have been obtained (I think they are still waiting on some of the permits) and where access is available for the serous bit of kit involved.
Sorry if a daft questions but I am an ex office worker and haven't got a clue about digging holes.

That is proper spooky! I was a student at London Uni in the late 70s, and lived in Notting Hill before it got trendy. I was driving (in my 1969 Vauxhall Viva HB1600, jealous?) round past the Lancaster Gate Hotel when I was nearly knocked off the road by a peroxide blond blousy woman driving a somewhat larger Rolls Royce. Think you can guess who. Anecdotally her driving seems to leave a little to be desired.
Oddly for me I don't find myself having much of an opinion on politics either side of the pond at the moment. Its not apathy, rather that the situations are so unpredictable that there seems to be nothing to do but spectate as the whole mess unfolds.

Yes the magic roundabout (or as us Midlanders would say 'an Island of Islands' because island is the word we use rather than roundabout). Don't believe there are many in America but where there are you call them rotaries? Its still there by the County Ground (football (soccer)) and the Fire Station. It isn't unique I was once told, there is another (maybe Milton Keynes). But it was the first and Swindonians are proud!
It has the footprint of a small housing estate. When I lived there a local advised me just to put a hand over my eyes and just drive in a straight line towards the desired exit, because that's what pretty much everyone does.
Swindon isn't famous for much else historically except for Steam Engine manufacture. Notable artists originally from there are few, limited I think to Diana Dors, Billy Piper, Melinda Messenger (who you probably havent heard of ) and the band XTC.

I think after years of disappointments, with so many shares, I have a hide as tough as an elephant (Indian or African, takes your pick).
I often think that if Michael J Fox and his DeLorean rocked up and took me back to leaving Uni my life could be so different. For a start I would have put all my dosh in the Nationwide, gained thousands of hours spent choosing and worrying about shares, and would probably have more money to show for it! And I would have stayed with Sharon with all her attributes, but we will gloss over that.

I despair!
Not been in all day (sampling the delights of Swindon) so came in and switched on the lappy with hope in my heart.

So this week, in summary:
a) Financial result from Kiziltepe, better than any of us reasonably expected with implications of the situation continuing until April 2020 when the loan is repaid
b) News of presentations in London to get the company known
c) PG upbeat, promising I think an update forecast with higher target SP
d) Director buying
e) new upbeat media interviews with Dr S
f) Gold slightly stronger, about 1% up

And the net result on the AAU share price for the week is......down.
Another unsmiley face
