RE: Takeover and Burnley FC15 Dec 2018 21:34
No I don't have a figure, though I would imagine a take out price at the moment would be at least 7.5p else counterbids would be likely. It would probably suit me if a bid were a paper one from an attractive suitor rather than cash as most of my AAU shares aren't sheltered in an ISA or SIPP.
Whether I think a bid is likely is another matter. I don't particularly, and if it were it would be a battle unless it was from Management due to the BODs combined holdings.
I'm realistic enough to know that, whether or not I agreed with the price, my decision to sell would not influence the success of the bid! Like pretty much everyone here as a small shareholder I would be a mere spectator.
I've held for 2 years, though my holding has increased significantly in that time so most of my shares have only been held 6- 12 months. Would I be upset if I were to be offered nearly 5+ times what I paid? No of course not.
I do believe in the company, but at the moment there are no guarantees in the NE. Furthermore development there is likely several years away. Yes there is gold there, but what are the economics or exploiting those deposits and how will that exploitation (if viable) be financed? Its not the foregone conclusion that some think or why does the 'all time' SP graph look the way it does? As I have said before, people are in love with this share and will hear nothing against it, which is dangerous.
To be honest I dont really follow football much, I just watch highlights. I know a couple of the posters here like Burnley! I heard the game turned and Gloucester lost!
