I saw US shares were up, and POG looks healthy. Don't think that necessarily means a good day for AAU tomorrow, its a bit independent like that.
Idiot Trump is on what is a PR exercise I would have thought. 'Look at me giving up my Christmas to be with our front line troops'. Ironic that he is spending a day with the military when the story breaks confirming his draft dodging. His supporters are saying 'where's the evidence?'. I would suggest that once you have bone spurs, you probably always have bone spurs. So he should maybe man up and have an Xray to prove his innocence? He wont methinks....

I think Wall Street is open today for a full session, oil has recovered slightly but as you say anything could happen. Need something more positive from OPEC (OPEC+) although they have said they will increase cuts if deemed necessary. Be nice to have an immediate revision now. I think one positive thing is that Trumps idiocy is now so clear that he may be starting to lose his effectiveness with the likes of RSA. If they bow to his demands going forward they will make themselves look like fools. What we will hopefully see from the US is that, although they will be pumping flat out now from wells which have already been drilled/paid for, new well expenditure will tone down significantly given PoO - WTI is c.$42 and I believe WTI Midland several $ below that, certainly < £40. That will help! Can still see PoO (Brent) stabilising $60 - £70 in 2019, but what the **** do I know?

Had Moonlight when I lived in Swindon. However now back in the west midlands I go to a pub in Oakengates (near Wellington). He keeps his cellar well and buys single barrels from all over, often Yorkshire/Lancashire. Breweries like Picktish. Mallinsons, Dr.Mortons, Abbeydale, Salopian etc etc. Its a wonderous place especially as most beers come in at < £3 pint. If you go to Morrisons try Oakham Citra or some of the Purity beers they sell.

I try not to moan, not much point really because it usually changes little especially when minnow shareholders are usually ignored by corporates but....
In a interview with Malcy of unknown vintage, and which I cant really be arsed to look up, we were promised an avalanche (or similarly emotive word) of RNSs over the last year as FOIL approached. Now while I don't want to be swamped by irrelevant information I think that Dr T stands guilty of failing to keep minority shareholders adequately informed on progress, especially as (from memory) he promised 'a few days' in Rotterdam (which is likely to be an expensive venue hence one reason for DDWs involvement rather than being spannered locally). I am disappointed in the company from that point of view. The weather WOS looks perfect from the webcams.

I asked a similar question about the removal of the plate a few weeks back, and also asked about the potential lack of protection on the Rotterdam -> WOS leg. My understanding is that the plate is more for streamlining during passage (fuel economy/speed), rather than for turret protection There is little danger of damage to the turret in the final leg. The plate has been dropped in Rotterdam as it is shallow water and so easily recoverable (which it has to be due to strict pollution/ salvage value considerations)

I have tried Orkney Brewery beers a couple of years back while diving in Scapa Flow, cant remember them being awful but then again can't remember them being brilliant either! Scottish brewer Brewdog has built a brand very quickly but not sure I've tried them as I think they are all canned/bottled?
Meanwhile 2018 vintage johnpwh Sloe Gin is turning out to be a very good year. Maybe its the Shropshire rather than Wiltshire sloes?

Question for someone more knowledgeable than me.
How much is the current decline (now <$53 Brent) due to supply/ demand and how much deliberate exploitation of uncertainty by Oil Traders - if the latter then the effect should be relatively short lived, if the former then we are in more trouble. One positive is that this has to focus OPEC+ on their proposed December cuts, maybe even increase them. They have recent proof that trying to price shale out of the market simply wont work

Now I like a drink but....
Have to say that the Scottish are absolutely fantastic at whisky but absolutely appalling at beer! Cant think of one I would drink.
Any snow expected in South Nevada over the Xmas period?

Dropped below $54. Who would have thunk it?? Many anticipated $100 by Xmas just a couple of months back!
Obviously margins squeezed disproportionately due to the effect of fixed costs, but can anyone confirm break even is $37 - that is the only figure I have.

POG seems healthy today, around $1264 as I write.
Well, another quarter over. Gold looks, in $ terms, a little weaker on average over the 4th quarter but nothing dramatic. Silver weaker in comparison quarter on quarter, but that isn't the main revenue source. Don't imagine production numbers will vary much from the previous quarter so more of the same hopefully for Q4 - unless there have been production issues we don't know of.
Look forward to news on Kizilcuker and Arzu North in the New Year, hopefully both positive! Happy for it to consolidate at this level till the newsflow starts from 2019 exploration, but that's just my opinion. Nothing dramatic, just a gradual flowering over the next couple of years would suit me just fine.

Now industry 'experts', to a man, are saying 'its going to get worse, oil hasn't stopped dropping yet'.
