I would argue (depending on how you define it) oil is the medium term future. Cant see much alternative to shipping and air travel in the short term

With (we assume) Lancaster, Lincoln and now Warwick crestal success,and with consistent (apparently over) production from the producing wells there must surely be a re-rating. Unless the market now wants reassurance on Halifax, interconnection of Lincoln and Warwick etc etc.
I guess all oilies may be experiencing the 'Greta effect' in the short term but hopefully little annoyances like that will pass.

I can't make Monday unfortunately, so no Pizza Express for me this time! I guess you know the sort of things we all want to know, but would appreciate if you can find out (assuming you are going) whether Tavsan EIA is on schedule for submission by year end and the likely timetable to production/profitability from that point onwards. Also can they give an estimate of the Kizilcukur costs which will for the basis of the 3x calc for JV inclusion.

I agree with you that it is production that will drive SP short term, not the exploration side (and maybe rising PM prices but the jury's still out there for me). Hence my interest in Tavsans EIA. That, to me, is the main key to the SP increasing - more than doubling production is going to be a major event for this company.

Agree re Turkey. Geographically important with a large tourist industry and second homes for Westerners. I don't regard the political or corruption risks as being anything like in the same league as Africa and the ex USSR states.
New deposits around Red Rabbit, even if relatively poor, could be economically viable due to already having a central, fully paid for, processing plant.
I am hoping for a 10 year mine life in the West from 2020 but time will tell, we shouldn't presuppose that all news will be good - one day it wont be. For example Arzu South deep could well prove uneconomic, who knows, but if that were the case it wouldn't turn the company into a basket case overnight!

Agree canetois. I don't post much these days because I have sod all of interest to say while we all play this waiting game.
However ADUK has been a major contributor to this board for as longer as I can remember, and much of that was informative and amusing.
In my opinion proverloop was out of line in what he said and should make a 'public' apology for using the term 'STFU'.
