If that is what GAF means then surely the expression is 'couldn't GAF' not 'could GAF'. Just saying.

The market for AAU is all a bit of a mess while the ASX listing is in progress so trying to ignore the SP. The grades quoted today look great, fantastic even, but their significance will have to wait for further drilling to see how far the seams extend. Important thing to me is that they don't provide a distraction to Sener and therefore to the timetable of the Feasibility Study. We can't have yet another infinitely elastic time line here, especially in view of the 'use it or lose it' provisions in the new Mining Act. The latter may provide focus I hope.

Have to question its worth waiting, since this is an agreed bid I cant see a higher one materialising and you can get 118p to sell in the market against a 120p offer. I have seen stranger things happen such as a bid for Ricardo recently when the market price went over the offer price before slumping back more recently to beneath it. i am thinking is a wait for 2p for around 3 months really worth it?

So I wasn't the only shareholder! 150p was quite a long time ago, 10 years in fact, though adjusted for inflation I admit that was rather more impressive than 120p.

Sounds done and dusted, I'm not complaining. Was a nice reliable dividend payer but unlikely to ever set the word alight. Talking of dividends, the yet to be announced interim due in the first few days of October is probably not going to happen looking at the announcement wording.

I will be voting for barring further developments, cant see what would prevent a decline back to the 90's if rejected.

Bold move! I normally dismiss claims of MM manipulation when vocal shareholders don't like the way that the SP is going but you appear to have proved it here. I am surprised it worked given the large bid/ offer spread AAU suffers, but well done.

This SP movement is encouraging as it is against a fairly flat PoG scenario. Gold seems to have plateaued, or even drifted back a little, not dramatically but those gold bulls expecting $4k sometime soon must be feeling a tad less confident than they were.

This sort of RNS is ill conceived though I guess required due to the listing.

If I were a strategic business investor I would read 'Everything is available in a desperate fire sale. If branches of the businesses remain at the end of the sale then liquidation of those businesses will take place and you will be able to buy for peanuts off the liquidator'.

If I still held any shares here I would sell. £50 or whatever is better than zero though it would be hard to stomach.

Am keeping an eye on any press reports on the progress of the mining law through the Zimbabwean parliament.

There is another article from a couple of hours ago with the bill getting hijacked by other broader social issues, general rather than mining specific, like gender equality etc. Likely delay in progress is implied.

Interesting, and while agreeing that all interests should be defended, it does make you wonder how 'green' artisanal miners are with unpleasant chemicals being used and possibly dumped in the nearest water courses. One thing I do believe AAU does well, despite our critisism of the BoD, is corporate responsibility. They dot all the i's and cross all the t's, which could be reassuring when operating there.

So I think my hope of a rapid passage through Parliament is looking less likely but lets hope there is someone strong there pressing for progress.

I respect the fanatical research many put into this share but it probably too large and complex a situation for anyone to get their head around.

There is now a long period before the main act, Havieron, comes centre stage and there are all the other prospects littered around which will give a mixture of poor, neutral and (hopefully) positive news. Anyone who thinks they can predict the next 3 years SP while GGP gets over the indigestion of recent news is a clever bloke/ lady. While tempted to re buy some of my recent disposals at todays prices for a quick actual profit, I think I will sit on the side lines and spectate for a bit.

Don't put much merit on TW tbh. I sometimes subscribe for a one off payment which last a couple of days but that's it.

One good thing is that the BoD have a lot pf skin in the game here, and the recent turmoil must have been very 'focussing' for the Chairman given his holding and proximity to retirement.

Re the size of the raise, there is one relatively recent interview with Sener in which said he would raise more than the minimum if possible, from memory did imply a figure. I will try to find for my own information, but I wasn't over surprised at the amount.

At least we are well off the 1p and while dilutive it probably could have been worse? Trying to be non grumpy and putting a positive spin to avoid critisism!!

Make or break this time and I think they finally know it, I do think they have woken from the bubble they were in.

The assets are largely good, there are things outside their control which will determine which, namely PoG and whether Zimbabwe wants to join the respected international community. If both go well there is real promise here, I am hoping that the bill passes there Parliament in months not years. Oh, and form a JV there with a respected partner, I cant see going it alone is viable.

Unusually for me I haven't got an opinion.

The cash raise was desperately needed, its should give some breathing space, some very necessary working capital, while Tavsan gets into its stride and generates cash and we wait for the mining laws to clear the Zimbabwean Parliament. I hope my cynical view of our major JV shareholder when it comes to the purse strings is unfounded. Believe no one wants to be proven wrong more than I do.

All I hope is that the future cash burn is heavily disciplined, and that the BoD realise that this has to be managed carefully. I have detected some indications in recent interviews and presentations that they realise moaning shareholders may have been occasionally correct and are embarrassed by what has happened.
