From one John to another.
For what its worth this is quite probably the new normal. Market makers aren't in grand conspiracy, they are just making a market as it says on the tin.
Recent (very positive) price movement in the past year from the equivalent of £1 to the current SP has been against tumultuous corporate restructuring, some good operational news (particularly from the previously almost dismissed Telfer deposit) and a constantly rising gold price. The gold bull run has slowed, even backed slightly but not alarmingly, the ASX listing is a couple of weeks old and bedding in from the initial euphoria, and we are now entering a less phrenetic entering a period which will cumulate in production at Havieron in at least 2 or 3 years time.
Should we be surprised that there is a bit of indigestion? Is the next move up, down or sideways? I would suggest no one knows. We may simply have a period of following gold price.
I have made my decision which I aware will be derided by several here. I had a million shares in 'old money', 50k in 'new', so have sold sufficient to leave me with a comfortable shareholding at zero cost. I'm happy with that.
