Imo that RNS could have been worded better, by simply including the phrase 'as previously announced'. Now it has people wondering (I assume unnecessarily) that there may be more to it than the transition to dual listing/ consolidation.

Quick glance through the recent RNS reveals little interest from the directors in putting their hands in their pockets to invest in the company. Old Anton has shares to the value of £70k. Not a sign of confidence. After all they are in company incentive and option schemes, and have no doubt good salaries, expense accounts and pensions paid for by frequent placings and retail offers to the long suffering shareholders, so why would they? The glimmers of hope are still the near 30% holding by AMG (who if I remember are not the AMG associated with Mercedes, a significant holding in that AMG would produce more hope of a bid due to its automotive connection), and that the EU may provide grants for mine development. If the latter is the case it seems to be happening rather slowly.

I note with horror the name Peter Secker is still milking the company as non- exec. What does he do? I can remember he had a non exec board place only due to Bacanoras shareholding in Zinnwald (the shareholding that was distributed to Bacanoras shareholders as a sweetener to Ganfengs bid), so what justifies Seckers presence on the board now?

Hello Mr.C, we have previous from Bacanora. I had maybe a better experience, made some decent money there, and I think we were fortunate to exit on a bid as the whole Lithium market is down because the Lithium commodity price seems pants. Ganfeng lithium itself doesn't look too healthy, being 75% down from its 2021 high. Same with the likes of Atlantic Lithium who are cost cutting. I played my Zinnwald holding very badly, adding to my free shares then watching my holding slide before bailing out at a modest loss quite a time ago. Quite an achievement to make a loss on free shares, no end to my talents!

I have given up on Lithium, they all seem to be making glacial progress and will have to find some way to raise cash many times their market cap to reach production. Cant help but feel that all current equity holders in several of these companies will end up with peanuts or worse.

GGP is up 170% YTD, the company has just put the necessary building blocks in place for the future significant actions. The next few months should be quieter.

At best we are still years off production at our main asset. I say 'we' because I have a million of the things. Hundreds of posts daily on this board even on a Sunday, the vast majority saying nothing new.

So relax, don't wake up in the morning thinking of Greatland Gold, and go to sleep thinking the same thing. Its really not healthy.

Must take my hat off to Kozz. He put the idea into my head of buying some more RCDO just to hold and profit from when the takeover was settled, which I dismissed But then reconsidered. They were 421.16 last Wednesday to buy and for some inexplicable reason were 425.15 to sell this morning. So I decided it wasn't really worth waiting 2 or 3 months and exited with 80 quid profit. Buy a few steaks and beers wont it! Thanks matey!

Doesn't worry me. I always have a laugh that each time I post someone goes to the time and trouble of writing things. which they almost certainly know I haven't read in 4 years or more. Must be nice to have such and excess of time, Night all.

I would largely agree with you except for a couple of things

1, The share price matters now. They have no cash and each cash raise to keep them ticking over will be increasingly dilutive as the market will push the price ever lower in the knowledge that there will be a series of placings

2. Ozaltin has a 53% majority in the JV. Who says that money will flow from the JV once Tavsan is producing. If the last 5 years are anything to go by all cash flow could be directed at Salinbas in the the same way that cash flow from Kiziltepe was directed at Tavsan,

2 confirmed bids in 2 days Kozz! Though I only had shares in Ricardo (which I will lose 50p a share on!!) but not here as I sold some time ago. However I continued to follow the company in case it turned a corner.

In my experience it is always far easier to be logical about investment decisions when sitting on the sidelines!

With EDF backing the company itself will survive and quite possibly prosper ,but that is scant consolation for the early investors following the IPO.

I agree with your reasoning Kozz, it is a small gain which should be nailed on unless there are due diligence problems (I assume that hurdle is yet to be cleared?). It should not be too long in being waived through though there will need to be a shareholder vote i guess. So soon accessed and which could be useful depending on your tax position (when not in an ISA/ SIPP wrapper) to use CGT allowance or even better to use brought forward GGT losses.

Just got a quote with iWeb for a bottom line cost of £42373.28 for 10,000 shares. So £626.72 profit or 1.5% profit.

According to a quick Google search an agreed takeover should take 8-10 weeks, so maybe an annualised 7.5% tax free return? You pays your money and takes your choice! Good luck.

Dealing fees and stamp duty? I haven't done the arithmetic but what would be the point in buying at a small discount of around 2.5% discount, with no dividend payable or to be negated, only to be repaid at 430p after several months but which could plunge to the 200s if the deal falls though?

The Share Price screams loud and clear that the market has zero confidence that this Board is remotely competent to run Ariana Resources and make the most of the assets that they have not already sold off at huge discount to a company that is currently controlling its destiny/ survival..

If people don't agree, then please list the achievements of this board that have every been completed in a half reasonable time scales, or assets that have not simply been enthusiastically entered but then shunted into a dead end siding to gather dust for countless years/ eternity.(yes, Venus).

I agree. I searched the RNS for dividends and in a prolonged takeover process any dividend amount will be netted against the 430p offer.

Think this is a done deal as its recommended and backed the BoD and by major shareholders.

These Boards are bizarre. You get wonky shares providing disappointing progress on a daily basis attracting enthusiastic fan boys, then Epwin quietly making us decent money and nothing posted for months. Funny old world.

That's that then. Inevitable but maybe a bit higher bid than many of us expected.

I will make a loss but pleased to get an exit. Sad, sad end to a proud British company and the legacy of a truly great man, Harry Ricardo.

All due to value destruction and pathetic mismanagement, with the promotion of a green agenda that no one really believes in to the extent that the soppy BoD did.

I wish none of the Board of Directors well in their future careers.

Why is clarifying the position with the Zimbabwean governments free carry policy not one of the short term focus items? It is acting as a dead weight at the moment.
