UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly is in Washington to discuss Ukraine Russia war and the absence to date of the threatened spring offensive. There are rumours circulating that Ukraine is talking to China behind closed doors and this presents a risk to the war ending much sooner than than both the US UK wants.

In the meantime, Ukraine have been showered by tons of Russian missiles making Ukraine spring offensive looking very much like spring defensive.

Zelensky and Ukraine should give peace the urgency it deserves and bring this bloodshed to an end asap.

Taking a cue from the previous update in Jan, market is rightly cautious run up to tomorrow. External non-trading factors are driving the price which means any downside will be limited unless the news regards listing is very negative. We need the board to retract statement put out earlier by POLY which said the failure to redom could be fatal for the company. Anyone attending the meeting should ask that very question again and see if stance has changed.

If company retracts the statement and just says redom is still work in progress and kicks the can down the road, I think sp will rise substantially.

Actual trading update will be good and the forecast for remainder of the year (if provided) will be very positive, we could even be in for the best trading year on record. I think the debt will be lower as well as compared to end 2022.

Absolute rubbish talk. Nothing stops a listed company carrying out a rights issue but given the size of issue in relation to its market valuation (probably need 400 times bigger than valuation min to make any diff), commissions demanded by underwriters as it would be risky and the likelihood of getting backing from big shareholders including mookster, means it is unfeasible. Lots of very troubled and almost bankrupt companies gets out of trouble through rights issue, but the task is gynormous and CINE just wouldnt get the backing from its shareholders except from the hardened die hard ones like maidit and Tegsy who have more money than sense.

US and the west would not have to worry about any terrorist attacks if they dont interfere or attack these countries in the first place. Why dont these countries attack interests of China, Japan, Korea, Switzerland etc?

Cant believe the likes of Mr Kioto believes CINE shareholders should get something. Simple answer is CINE shareholders (CINE owners) owns lot less than what they owe. CINE shareholders can have the whole company back and trading profitably if they stump up the cash and pay off creditors, but they cant or dont want to. Time shareholders got real!

Since before this war began and after, Ukraine have consistently misunderstood course of events. Before the war began Zelensky and Ukraine under estimated Russian resolve in dealing with issues at hand.

After war began, Ukraine have falsely interpreted Russian moves eg.

1) Russia moved troops towards Kiev at start to distract Ukraine away from Donbas. Once Russia dug into Donbas, Russia withdrew from North Ukraine. It was a tactical move but Ukraine took it as a victory.

2) Russia then withdew from Kharkiv to focus on rest of Donbas and the land corridoor. Less than 30% of Kharkiv population is ethnic Russians and more than 60% are Ukranians, so in the longer term Russia would not be interested. Further, Ukraine is quite a distance away from the land corriddor linking Russia with Crimea. Ukraine took Russian withdrawal as a victory

3) Russia then withdrew from two parts west of Dnipro which again were largely inhabited by Ukranians. Russia held these areas for negotiation purpose only, and found it difficult to supply across river Dnipro and so pulled back. Again Ukraine took this as a victory.

The areas which matters to Russia they have pursued, like Mariopol on the Azov Sea and they are now well dug into areas where there are majority ethnic Russians and the land corridoor linking Russia to Crimea. Ukraine have not secured any victories in these areas and imo will not secure any victories going forward either.

The task ahead for Ukraine is enormous and they know it, which is precisely why they may be having second thoughts.

I hope common sense prevails and we avoid the bloodshed which will be like nothing we have seen to date should Ukraine embark on this suicide mission.
