Independent inquiries in ALL participating countries including UK US and France concluded that Libya had actually not breached the resolution. Yet few weeks ago you were whole heartedly defending it. Libya was bombed back to stone age and is now a failed state.

Various factors coalescing fast like record gold prices, favourable exchange rates, Ukraine peace moves, Russia divi pyt clearance rumours and favourable update on the 10th means sp above £4 by 11 May is not impossible.

Gold price spiked today by 1.6% - approx $30 - on the back of US labour market data indicating US interest rates may have peaked. Each US$ earnt above $1800 per oz budgeted for adds $1.7m to the profits.

wakeyi...in total agreement there. No one condones Russian aggression, but Zelenky went out of his way to annoy Putin by initially contesting his election on a premise he would take Ukraine into NATO against the Minsk agreement. Then once in power did everything he could to harm ethnic Russians within Ukraine including demeaning/cancelling Russian language and culture even within predominantly Russian areas, not to mention allowing right wing thugs to make life a misery for ethnic Russians eg. Azov Batallion etc etc. Then he misjudged Russian resolve and not take evasive action inc negotiate with Russia, and now trying to win back land lost through his incompetency using ordinary Ukranians as pokerchips.
I feel for the Ukranians, but they should have thought twice before electing a comedian to run the country. Thank GOD he may finally be getting around to see some sense in de-escalating and save lot of lives and livelihoods in the process.

I think companies like POLY would be prime candidates to benefit alongside technology companies. POLY is involved in huge capital projects building Russias future so would not have issues gaining a pass to transfer funds to pay divis. outflows from Russia would be towards paying divis only and not to invest elsewhere in the world.
In the longer term, redom would work better as POLY would look to invest elsewhere outside Russia to diversify away and would need capital from Russian investments to make it happen. In the short term, these proposals, IF implemented lifts some of the pressures.

chique...I think issue is both. Capital leaving Russia and capital going into Russia. Majority shareholders are in the west whereas majority business is in Russia. I dont see any obstacles in Russian shareholders being paid in Rubles from Russia business. Russia allowing capital flows into west would then enable shareholders in the west being paid without seriously impeding business in Kaz. Of course redom would tick other boxes like in obtaining new mining licenses in Russia etc, but it removes the urgency and allowing time to properly consider issues surrounding redom. It most definitely puts the floor under sp.

I think POLY would qualify to pay divis out of Russia business if proposals currently under consideration in Russia is implemented. If this was the case, then redom may not be necessary.
