Average 2022 silver price $21.8/oz (2021: $25.2/oz).
Average realised gold price 2022 $ 1,764/oz (1,792 in 2021)
Average realised silver price 2022 $ 21.9/oz (24.8 in 2021)
After allowing for high 2022 YE inventory, the price obtained as % of market price was similar to that in 2021 when there was no war and lower YE inventory.

POLY 2022 report page 84:
"Average realised gold price decreased by 2% while silver price decreased by 12%, both almost tracking market dynamics."

POLY is getting proper market price so your assertion that it is not is FALSE; and not for the first time.

This was as at 31 December 2022 and lot have happened since.

Last update also said POLY already had enough cash to meet 2023 debt commitments and market for gold has been very buoyant with cash pouring out of POLY's ears.

@Sagacity...all you say makes sense and glad it works for you. However, imo the risk is over-priced in. All things equal, POLY should now be trading at +£15. The company is not sanctioned and trading normally except for getting cash out of Russia. Also note, just under half it's profits are coming out of Kaz, and this makes it ridiculously cheap.

If they can resolve redom issue (or war ends) the sky is the limit for POLY. Firm gold prices, favourable exchange rates, efficiency gains from heavy investments and rising production from new mines towards year end and 2024 all bodes well for POLY. Servicing debt is not a problem and POLY may already have enough cash to meet all debt commitments to end 2024.

Do better if Ukraine entered peace talks and bring this madness to an end. Whilst Russia will not give back Crimea, I think they will be reasonable regards all else cos they want this war ending. But can't see Zelensky doing that as he is trying to rectify mistakes he made run up to war on the back of Ukranian lives and livelihoods. It will not end well for him.

Russia had no intention of keeping Kherson and occupied it for negotiation purpose only. Russians comprises less than 25% of Kherson population and hence had no intention to hold onto it. Now you would say I would say that now cos Russians 'may' be losing, but I've been saying this since they first occupied Kherson; check my posting on 15.08.2022 at 13.05 and 30.08.2022 at 11.32.
I think Russia is digging in for Crimea (which they will never give up) and Donbas from where they 'will' leave once there's agreement on it's future autonomy 'inside' Ukraine similarly to Scotland and Wales within UK.

@OliGarch...I am of the opinion this Tory government has it in for the unions and businesses going bust. It will not intervene unless absolutely critical for the state eg. Carillion Plc was involved in about one thousand govt sites when it went bust. The company approached govt to 'guarantee' (not lend) £159m loan to continue trading. You would have thought government would succumb in view of their dependence on the company, but they didn't. They allowed Carillion to go bust which meant government moving contracts at substantially higher costs to other contractors.
I'm not sure the letter business is strategic enough anymore, and can be made even less strategic by raising cost of posting letter to say...£3, which would put an end to all the junk we currently get in the post which is most of it. Other than annual council tax and water bills I hardly get anything else of substance; its mostly junk. Oh and things I should be getting on a regular periodic basis sometime doesn't arrive at all for some reason eg. my John Lewis gift vouchers based on my card spend; not sure why they don't arrive and I never get around to complaining either!!

@Broch...if French govt could nationalise their postal service they would do so, as it keeps gobbling up tons of tax payer cash and stands in the way of efficiency drive. Unions are just too powerful to allow it to happen. In the US, postal service, and service it has to provide is enshrined in their constitution and so survives and will survive going forward. You fail to mention German postal service which is privatised and works really well unlike RM with its ever present threat of industrial action. You should also know that Peter Mandelson did offer Royal Mail to take their destiny in their own hands in 2008 in the form of employee ownership but unions opposed it. CWU did not want to leave comfort of public ownership and risk losing array of benefits which went with it: benefits not available to workers employed with privatised carriers who were competing with RM.
As important the agreement reached may be, I can see CWU going for RM's throat once again but I cannot see them succeeding. They don't have power to bring the country to a halt. IDS may end up losing letter business which they'll be very glad to and govt will end up paying more to any other carrier who can carry letters to all parts of UK, and they will not be as generous with T&C as IDS have been.
One thing's for sure, Tory govt will not yield to the unions and CWU should know that.
What happens then to Dave Ward and his CWU empire. Does he start his war all over again with the new company?
I very much hope CWU membership accept agreement reached and make success of Royal Mail.

1) Gold price holding at $2k per oz; $200 per oz higher than budgeted for 2023. If hold over full year this would add extra $340m to revenue.

2) US$ to Ruble exchange rate holding above 80 Rubles; Budgeted at 65 Rubles, hence 23% higher.
Over 70% costs incurred in Russia, and if rate holds over full year it would lead to over 10% cost reduction in Russia. Russian inflation currently running at under 5%.
US$ to Kaz Tenge rate holding as per budget at 450 tenge

3) In the timeline provided for redomiciliation process early this year. company stated it will have finalised mechanics of AIFC redom. So we should get an update.

POLY have gone through a lot and is becoming battle hardened. No way it is going down below 2 quid as some are predicting.

@Broach...parcel delivery business is intensely competitive industry, probably next only to high street retailing. Either RM try compete and make a go of it or goes bust. There's a third way which likes of you desire, which is where government steps in and run the business. RM isn't strategic enough anymore to UK, gone are the days when we relied on bills and cheques to drop through post, and posties are largely reduced to carrying junk mails which gets up people's nose anyway. And as for parcels, there are umpteen other companies who can do the job equally well. RM is no where near as strategic as water and railways which I agree should be nationalised. Remember, not so long ago Carillion went bust and at the time they were working in nearly 1,000 sites building hospitals, schools, running facilities etc, but yet govt allowed it to go under and reallocated work to competitors.
In the worst case scenario, the government would only step into save letter side only, and allow IDS to hold onto the parcel business (which the company would prefer anyway); and even there it would probably restrict it to carrying letters only employing minimal of staff. And where would this leave Dave Ward and his CWU empire?
Time unions wake up and smell the coffee.
