At lunch an earlier tree shake to 685 did not have the desired effect. Buyers soon mopped up the loose stock. Nevertheless the shares despite buys outpacing sells by 3•75:1 (wk to date) remain unmoved.

Morning all.

On a low volume session buy trades outpaced sells by 2•4:1 (8600-3620) shares slipped 20 to (700-740) on just 9 deals. Those of a nervous disposition are best advised to watch and wait.

I prefer to be 'in the mrkt' seeking lower prices as I believe the stock is at bargain basement level and value will out as long as your patient. Its obvious to me that buying a rising share (adding value) is preferable to averaging down which most investors prefer to do, not fully realising they are increasing a losing position.

Having your prayers answered the shares will turn might be asking too much of the good Lord. I have been down this road before and no'one listened.

I have been disappointed in the past thinking more is cheaper which gets cheaper and cheaper until one's left holding the baby.

Investors are displaying classic safe haven moves while the situation in Gaza appears to get worse by the minute. Hectoring by various leaders about annihilation of the Jewish people and others supporting Israel make efforts to find a peaceful solution almost impossible.

I'm reminded by Baron Rothschild saying " buy when there's blood in the streets" and Warren Buffet's much quoted "be greedy when others are fearful"......both of which have turned out to be very percipient over the years.

I intend to continue adding while the MMs cut prices on small lot selling. I have no objection to add to my holdings when mrkts are so volatile and am comfortable should MSi fall further.

Good luck with that Tav. Hope your MSi were in profit! Looked at JDS on and off but 5•2bn issued always put me off. You risk MSi running out of sight by the time your JDS hits your mark. I'm sure you have calculated that.... as ever we pays our money......

I could point to a nos of companies whose boards steadfastly swerve supporting a sagging share. Fair do's their not obliged despite the bad taste it leaves and to be fair a poss red flag.

One that I considered an investment is being given the bums rush by holders and my cheque book is now firmly closed.

Despite MSi newsflow at times being slow coming forward you can't say that when it's time for the boards round of drinks. No holding back putting their money in an appreciating asset (see boards holdings in company) that is always a confidence booster for holders. Cheers!!

No more forecasting ....not the game for me!

Reflecting negative cues from US mrkts on Friday, Asia is lower in early Monday trading. Hotter than expected CPI nos, shaky consumer confidence in the US and Middle East developments had Far Eastern investors hitting the sell buttons. Looking ahead London and N.Y are called better in early dealings.

Morning Troajan. I'm not a chart, tech analysis or squiggly line follower, as long as the line is heading north I'm happy. OK that's a simplification but given all the other data I follow I try and keep things as simple as possible.

I'm encouraged that investors are net buyers of MSi and despite the awful news out of Israel think the stock could hit 800 by the H/Y.

Trade in MSi has been effected as investors retire to the sidelines preferring to be safe than sorry. Less than 100,000 trades took place on the week leaving MSi unchanged at 720-750. While this dreadful war against Hamas continues I see little headway for shares.

Morning all.

Trades today were impacted by the on going events in Gaza and fears of an impending ground incursion that could potentialy ignite a war across the Middle East.

Talk of mrkts closing are wide of the mark (the NYSE remained open throughout WW2) so mrkts are better prepared these days to weather any storms.

Last time this happened was during 9/11 when the NYSE closed for 6 days after terrorists flew 2 planes into the World Trade Centre. Mrkts fell 14% that week causing the longest shutdown since the Great Depression.

Morning all.

Buy trades today outpaced sells by c.19,600 and on the week c.69,000 to c.14,500 or c.4:1 on 83 deals struck. Shares unmoved at 720-750.

Only 2 days in vols are well down on last week, not surprising given the contract win for electro-optical sight systems. However vols are over 34,500 with buys outpacing sells by 4:1 shares unchanged at 720-740.

In other news MSi has teamed up with Polish radar C-UAS Co APS to produce 30mm hard kill drone air defence system to enter service in next 2 weeks. Likely part of a previous contract (thanx 74 tom) on ADVFN.

Also Finance Director Michael O'Connell has taken up his 50,000 nil paid options awarded under MSi's LTIP plan taking his holdings to 1•661m (10•2%) shares. I'm not a fan of Directors being awarded 'freebie' shares but in this instance feel its' well deserved.

The Directors might consider at the next annual results offering shares (a scrip) as an option in lieu of cash dividends. I'd be interested. Unsure how this would be treated by the tax man.
