Another good day for US stocks as trade tensions ease though Trump insists its China that need the 'deal' more than us.
An initial jump of 100+ like yesterday fizzled out in pm trading the Dow tracking sideways closed at 26146 up 147 the S&P just short of record high finished at 2904 and the techs led by Apple ended up 59 at 8014.
Economic nos cont to support equity valuations, consumer inflation fell 0.2 to 2.7% and the consumer price index rose by 0.2% in Aug well within forecasts
with the 10 year T/Bill unchanged at 2.95%.
The European Central Bank kept rates on hold while the Turkish CB raised repo rate by 6.25% points in an effort to stem the lira $ decline.
9/11 S&P sectors gained boosted by techs, Apple added 2%, Alphabet c.1%, Microsoft up 1%, Qualcomm Inc up 4% on $16bn repurchase program with Intel and IBM joining the leader board. Going south were Exxon ( oil futures down 2% /and futures contracts were dealt in $78.24 & $77.80 for Nov & Dec). Home Depot and McDonald's all down c.1%.
London eased back 32 (7282) the All off 18 (4024) and the 250 lost 137 (20244) on a quiet day.

Most Asian and Pan Pacifics are doing well in morning dealings, the Nikkei up 222 hit a 7 month high (+1.1% ytd) with HK (+200) extending yesterday gains (Tencent up 2%) banks, insurers and Macau stocks rebounding strongly.
In Shanghai shares are flat with analysts saying the SHCOMP has taken an 11% hit as a direct result of trade tensions (HK 10%).
Shanghai is the 4th largest stock mrkt and continues its poor performance this year, down 19%.
South Korea up 1% boosted by gains in Samsung & Hyundai. Gains of similar % were seen in Singapore & Malaya.
