Bill. I am a member at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington. It has 2 courses, neither are a doddle. The easier West course has a slope rating of 131 and I play off 7. The East and number one course in SA for 2018 plays to a slope of 141 and this I play off 8. Some courses in the vicinity I can be as low as 3 or 4.

I posted here and said I didn't expect an announcement on an offer this year. I still believe this but on the bright side the longer this goes on without an announcement the more chance of a positive outcome. On the negative side I see the sp reducing every day or most days until something is forthcoming in the form of a RNS. Unfortunately at this time of year money is needed and punters sitting on a profit will as days slip by be very tempted to cash in. I am in here until the RNS drops but then I don't need the money.

That nothing further has been announced since the Virgin interest was announced. I have worked in the airline business for many years in Africa and I can assure you it is a very complex business. To be successful demands having a CEO and board who know the business. Very few have and many go tits up. If Virgin take this to the final step of making an offer I will be surprised if it is this year. As I said at the beginning the good news is that as far as we know Virgin are still interested and the longer it goes on without news the more the chance of an offer being made.
Reading some of the comments on this bb it seems that an offer was expected 10 minutes after the RNS came out.
