I, like many who held WRN shares just prior to suspension was full of optimism because what we were being fed by Doug and co painted a very rosy picture. It soon became obvious to anyone with half a brain that all was not well. When WHET emerged it should have been pretty obvious that this was purely a vehicle for the precious few to recoup their losses in WRN. I am afraid the end is nigh and if there is anyone out there who can put a very good argument forward that this is not the case, write on.

milnrowmug. BA are not a threat to Easy and visa versa. The three main competitors in low-cost travel are Easy, Rya and Jet2. Wizz will probably get there but not yet. None of these will go tits up in the foreseeable future. The three casualties in recent times, Monarch, Flybe and Thomas Cook had rotten BOD's and never had a chance. To get an airline into profit and keep it there is a fine balancing act. Obviously with the demise of Monarch and Thomas Cook a bunch of passengers out there are loose and PAX numbers for the airlines remaining will rise. Let's hope Easy grab more than the others.

Don't believe all this rubbish about Easy taking a hit because they did not cash in on the few days strikes experienced by Rya and BA. Passengers who use Rya will always use the airline because it's cheaper and they don't care how they are treated for the two hours they are on board. BA is a totally different model to low cost airlines. If the low cost airlines that are still around went on strike for 6 months yes that would make a difference.
This share will bounce back but patience is paramount.

Fact. Not one present Thomas Cook aircraft will fly in EasyJet colours.

It is not good news regarding the Max 8. It has usually been the case that when the FAA certify an aircraft fit to fly the regulatory bodies in other countries usually follow suit. This could change this time around because of the massive hit the FAA has taken to its credibility. What this could mean is aircraft hoping to use UK airspace for instance will not without the rubber stamp from the CAA. This could be the case with each countries regulatory authorities. Now out of the 400 aircraft presently affected with the grounding only approx 70 are US owned so the FAA giving the green light may not help the bulk of aircraft in service. The bottom line is that when the FAA give the go ahead for the Max 8 to resume flying the rest of the world could take months before they follow suit. O'Leary knows this and it will be concerning him.

This share price is up in the air until the 31st of October arrives. Now I live overseas, paid in Euros and Dollars and most of my property is in Euro land with just the one in the U.K. I flew from Manchester last week to a property I have in the Canaries for a six week stint. I flew on a Jet2 Airbus A330 and absolutely no complaints. I sat next to a couple from Sunderland and what they said was very interesting. He presently worked in the auto industry. Assuming Brexit is looming he knows his job is in danger. He changed his pounds at the airport and for the first time he got less Euros. He said he hoped the prices have reduced in the Canairies to compensate for the currency slump. No. He told me he never bothers with medical insurance because he has the EU card in an emergency. This of course will disappear after Brexit. The bottom line was that this may be the last time he ventures abroad. Just for interest sake I asked him how he voted in the referendum. Leave was his answer. His reason "To keep out the Eastern Europeans from coming over and taking the jobs we don't want to do" I ask the question how many who voted leave also thought this way. As I said at the beginning of this post I am not effected but looking in from the outside to leave is a mistake and to leave without a deal an even bigger one.
