If you ever want a laugh, read certain bb’s of which this has now developed into one. There are posters who are forever saying they have bought at certain levels, rubbish. There are posters who pretend to use the filter button when it is obvious they don’t. There are posters who are not looking for a return in the next 7 to 8 years, not interested in the daily sp movement but spend all day talking about it. B777 finally admitted today “anyway I clearly have no idea” The bottom line in my opinion is that this is a poor man’s airline share when up against Rya. My guess is the results will be acceptable but the sp will drop.

I browse this share probably the least of my investments. This morning during a quiet period I checked my portfolio and saw a rather large jump. Tracing it to Smithson I read the rns that resulted in a +6% rise. I would be lying if I said I understood it. Maybe someone out there could simplify it for me. I do also own Fundsmith. Now although the jump is very welcome it must be remembered that the sp has been >£2.

Wrong again Yeslam. I am in deep with Rya, IAG and Easy so unless I see stonking news from Wizz, not for me. Look I hope this sp gets off the ground because airline shares will benefit. In Broughton “up north” all week, see if I can pick a few holes in their Airbus wing manufacturing processes.

Anyone who has held airline shares in the past 15 years will know that to say the least they are unpredictable. Good results and a rosy future more than often have a negative effect on the sp. Look at IAG last Friday. On a results day that painted a good picture the sp plummeted 12%. I have seen this happen numerous times. I have a feeling that ordinary figures from Wizz might just propel the sp upward. Let’s see.

B777. Give it a rest. My prediction of 920 on results day looks nailed on and if anything might be a touch optimistic. Now let’s see over the last 6 months Rya sp +30%, Wizz sp -40% even flying that old “trash”

I cannot believe that anyone would be sucked in to buy this share prior to the results next week. Forget looking for reasons the sp is sinking fast, the bottom line is the markets don’t rate Wizz now and probably never will. This of course is only in my opinion but it is a brave person who jumps in now.

Now though it is no compensation to Wizz and all affected airlines regarding the P&W engines a new ultrasonic method of performing NDT on powdered metal manufactured components has emerged which ultimately leads to even safer travel. Bit of a fight back regarding the sp but my 920 remains for the end of results day. I hope I am wrong.

Sorry Yeslam forgot to mention I have no bias regarding Airbus or Boeing and hence Rya. In fact I am in Broughton next week. My only bias is in which in my opinion is going to earn me money.

Good grief I have touched a nerve. Firstly Yeslam. Learn to read and get your facts straight. Please post where I say Wizz will not survive 7 months? Next you are right I am not an investing expert but I am shrewd enough not to be under water in this stock. Am I an expert in my field of engineering. Yes and I will guarantee that I have been involved in the aviation industry a good deal longer than even B777. Secondly B777. As a ramper I expect nothing else but support for Yeslam. Now all my views are only my opinion and that opinion tells me further disappointment is round the corner regarding the sp when the results are announced. Call it experience in investing in the airline business.

When is it going to dawn on investors that Wizz is not flavour of the month and never will be. If I was a long term investor and had big money tied up here, like Stille I would have trouble sleeping at night. Forget B777's forecast that all will be fine in 7-8 years time. This company could well be on its knees well before this time elapses. The P&W business has already seen the back of Spirit Airlines and it has a long way to run yet. As a certified auditor both for the CAA and FAA I have hands on knowledge of the real problem re the engine rectification. During a 6 year period Vital components of the engine used a manufacturing method called "powdered metal" It has been around for a few years and substitutes for forging or casting. After a couple of component failures it was discovered that the cause was impurities in the component resulting in a stress raiser and hence in a crack. Unfortunately the NDT method at the time was not capable of detecting microscopic defects deep in the component. A new ultrasonic NDT method has been developed since which allows for microscopic defect detection in these components. The bottom line was that all components manufactured using the said process during this 6 year period had to be scrapped immediately or after a very short service life. The total number of components involved is significant and to replace them is taking longer than originally envisaged. Needless to say the QA and QC now in place for these components has been tightened up considerably.

I only wish luck to any investors here but I think it is going to be needed.

To form Rya is down this morning. Whenever airlines put out good numbers the sp falls. I have seen it so many times over the years. It will happen here also. I see the lines have been busy over the weekends led by B777 repeating the same old tosh. “Hang in there it will come good in 7-8 years time” who the hell wants an investment like that?

B777. The way this share is performing and the rate it is decreasing this company will be lucky to survive the next 7 months never mind 7 years. Now Boeing are very confident the Max 10 will be certified in the first half of 2026. Everett is all geared up for full production and news will emerge of a second line elsewhere. The FAA’s limitation on the number of aircraft Boeing are allowed to produce will disappear.

As this sp is losing a steady 10 points per day and there are 16 dealing days until the results I will deduct 160 points from today’s close and assume the results change nothing. Hence 920 is my number.

I see there are now a few posters who like myself cannot see the point of throwing money at a share today that could have a rough time until the promised land is reached at the end of 2027 (hopefully). A share that has only been going in one direction for the last 6 months whilst all the indices (FT, S&P 500. Nasdaq and Dow) have all hit record highs is not a good investment. Any savvy investor will not be sucked in with the views of posters such as B777 that all will be fine in 7 years time.

There's more chance that Boeing will go out of business than Wizz. Then what will Ryanair do? B777. That is a stupid statement and almost on a par with your £40 a share comment.

Here in NY. Flight out tomorrow to Seattle and the rest of the week in the Boeing Everett plant. It is only when you see the Max 10 line that you realise what is involved in aircraft assembly and why they take a minimum of two years to set up. Aircraft unfortunately will now always be in short supply. Composite material is in massive demand and is struggling to meet aircraft manufacturers requirements. I have made my view clear on investment in Wizz. Would not touch it for the next two years and if then assuming it is still around a dabble may be in order

B777. Fair play to you for sticking to your guns but your investment strategy is not for me. Looking years ahead with aviation shares is just too risky. Ask yourself if this was not an aviation share and with its recent performance would you not wait until some relative unknowns fell into place? I admit in my early days of stock buying sentiment kicked in and aviation shares were at the top of my list.
