B777. Sorry you are right I meant 270% not 370%. Now as for being a Wizz investor, no not at this time. I sold my large holding in Rya early this week which leaves me IAG and Easy in the aviation sector. At present big gain in IAG but a smaller loss in Easy. Both will be left to ride. My opinion is that this is a golden period for airlines but I believe everything is priced in and I really see no major hikes in sp’s. This of course is only my opinion but having dabbled in this sector for 15 years I think I have picked up a few pointers.

SG. Spot on. I was hoping that the crap he disguises as positive thoughts would taper off in this a new year. Let me give you a fact. To match the sp of 4 years ago an increase of 370% is required. Now that is a fact.

B777. If you mean by amateurs that most of us don’t get paid for handing out forecasts you are right. As you very well know brokers with acknowledged expertise are mostly off the mark. I have been an investor for many years and won more than I have lost. This bothers me little as I have accumulated just short of 400 Krugerrands for an average outlay of approx 20% of today’s value. Not bad for an amateur eh.

B777. Firstly I am optimistic about an increase in all airline shares over the next year but big time no. As I have discussed before they are a law unto themselves and logic is rarely adhered to. Now a pet hate of mine is the likes of Stan and more so Sundezena plucking numbers out of the air with absolutely no reasoning. I think it is called ramping.

I wish all investors in whatever stock is chosen a very prosperous new year.

B777. Again you are having trouble getting things right. No one is arguing that on delivery the aircraft are not worth more than when the order was placed. Now as a highly qualified engineer I can tell you that the modern structural materials are very difficult to recycle and in some cases not possible..

B 777. You must tell me which airline you are supposed to fly for as you very rarely get things right. I don’t accept the wooden spoon you awarded me for the fact that the forecasts were for H1 results day (13th Nov.) The sp finished at 1085 on that day. If you knew anything about the industry you would know that Al. is being rapidly replaced by non metallic materials for aircraft major structural elements. Copper wiring of course will not be replaced.

B777. You must stop worrying about Ryanair and if you must talk about them get your facts correct. Unless they have started making wings out of copper only approx. 2% of the aircraft weight is copper. Al has increased in price less than 20% this past year. (Aircraft grade).

D9 “We all know medium to longer term the SP will be considerably higher” Well I don’t know. When is it going to register that airline share are a law unto themselves. If we go back 5 years would we all know that the sp would reduce by 75%. NO. I want all airline shares to increase in value but assuming it is inevitable that they will is pure ramping.

P&W need nothing else to snag this engine or it will have a major impact on many airlines, Wizz included.

B777 and £2.6 down from a year ago. This is an airline share and predicting where it will be in a month’s time is difficult, 6 or 7 years from now impossible. It is each to his own but it is worth bearing in mind that airlines are always vulnerable to uncontrollable events.

Yeslam. The wing structure is my concern. B777. You really have a lot to learn. The only certainty regarding airline shares is uncertainty. The sp is 30% down on where it was 6 months ago. Hoping it will see the numbers you have been quoting in many years time is pure guesswork. Having sundezena in your corner is really reassuring.

Check out the BBC re some Airbus panels at the front of the aircraft. Time for more vigorous audits on suppliers.

Forget the fix only takes 2 hours and disruption will be minimal, come Monday the market will react. From experience all airlines will feel a draft even if there are no or few A320’s in the fleet. That’s how it works with airline shares. The grounding and immediate fix is the correct decision, another MCAS situation is unthinkable.
