If old/at risk people die or develop a disease after taking the vaccine the event is being recorded as not related to the vaccine. The scientists are saying it just coincidence they die or get diseases due to their advanced age. They have a point obviously the older you get the more chances you can die.

So we can't adequately test if the vaccine is safe in the longer term if you are using the most at risk in your population as any negative event is easily explained away by other causes. Thats my fear we will miss potential harmful side effects in our younger populations.

Neutralizing antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 are sustained, associated with COVID19 severity, and evaded by emerging viral variants.

Antibodies generated against SARS-CoV-2 during the first COVID-19 wave had reduced immunoreactivity and neutralization potency to emerging Spike variants.

Not great news here this study suggests it likely you could catch the new strain of Covid-19 even if you had the initial strain last year.

If you had a nerfarious nature and wanted to give the virus the best chance of becoming resistant to the vaccines do as the UK are doing.

Interesting tweet from a virologist (Rockefellar) on what the UK is doing and very interesting comments from some independent scientists. Differs somewhat from government scientist thinking.

A massive gamble and a huge population experiment. Data from trials said 2 doses 21 days apart and this what approval based on. 1 dose there isnt any data to support this and prizer have condemned it. Talk of legal challenges as ppl have been duped in taking a partial protection bad.

The 1 shot dose was less than 50% effective from previous data. 2 full doses was 62% this was the only data that was trustworthy last time round. Not sure how this can radically change? Notice so many questions omitted from press reports.

Timing is important, the earlier you can treat the better.

The AZN Vaccine has already been approved in the background, the UK government have told us the 4th Jan will be when AZN vaccine will start rolling out.

The MHRA coming to a decision is just for show, the AZN vaccine independently reviewed by AZN shareholders :)

The primary end point of the asthma trial was missed primarily due to lack of exacerbations in the trial population. The trial was ended early and AZN decided to pullout.

This is AZNs mAbs treatment that has 1 million pre orders from the uk govt before P2 was completed. This drug is being bought up whatever happens hence the very positive media spin ??

They estimate the transmission rate of this variant is 50–74% higher than existing variants. Without effective control policies, rapid surges are predicted and the burden in the first six months of 2021 may be greater than what was seen in 2020.

Thinking about it this new strain will eventually go worldwide so other countries will also at some point find themselves in a new wave of this strain.
