I think HSBC could be broken up. In these hard times do they have any decent products on offer? The way it's going people will be safer storing their money at home!
It is a game changer - but not in the way most people seem to think. We are exchanging an asset for cash, this is not new money.
For me it's a gamechanger in the sense it gives us time and breathing space to turn the company around - basically we can survive longer in the current climate.
Dav, The stock market isn't a level playing field - so never expect true value, fairness or justice, because if 'you' do, more often than not 'you' will lose money.
$500m might be about twice our market cap, but we are merely exchanging an asset for cash - this is not new money coming in to TLW. This $500m and $75m on FID will give us time and breathing space more than anything else.
unjustified because the TLW share price rose sharply when contrasted to the price of oil and there was no specific company news - then -the next day confirmation of the RBL lands.
Please tell me why the rise was justified, and why when the good news landed there was no significant rise ?
