Nearly at 1300p, I had hoped we would be higher at these PM prices.

The idea of Total holding on to the money to accrue interest could be feasible. However, if they are borrowing this money, then the cost of the borrowing interest will be more than the interest they would receive for holding this money.

And if this deal can not be broken and the $500M must be paid - why then would we expect a rise in the SP when it clears..

When deals like this collapse - often there is a proviso in the contract and it can lead to lengthy and costly legal negotiations. And this is where compensation comes into the equation.

Let's agree to disagree.

The most important fact is that money is not yet received - deals collapse at the last minute all the time.

Legally binding and obligated until lawyers and small print come into action.

30p - our MC rising by about 50% for exchanging an asset we own for cash. Time will tell.

I'm a holder here, but I believe in free speech etc. Experts can predict all they like, but how often are they correct. I'm more concerned about extended and further lockdowns. The companies that survive the pandemic will be the ones to thrive.

The rollout of a vaccine will be interesting. How many people will willing want a vaccine that is relatively untested for a virus that is no more deadly than seasonal flu...

I don't own any Crypto, but I keep hearing that it's outside the system - how can this be, because if the internet goes down where does this leave holders ?

It reminds me of the RNS 16th September 2019 announcing the Joe-1 discovery, the same day as Poo had its biggest spike in about 30yrs - due to the SA attack. And still TLW only briefly touched 250p.

You have raised some valid points and the cheap T/O has always been a concern.

But what was the real point of last week's RNS? It may have been to supress a SP spike - but to me it helped the shorters more than anyone. An RNS saying the funds had been received would have suited me - no prior warning needed.

You say naïve, but who benefits most from last week's RNS and the delay in receiving the payment etc...

'Days' is a very open ended term. I'm sure the shorters were glad to see last week's RNS - as it gave them plenty of time to adjust their trades.

200p to 8p, was quite in days - it was after two disastrous RNS releases (Nov & Dec 2019) and the onset of a global pandemic.

Maybe the RNS last week was to prevent a large spike in the price by forewarning the market that the payment was due. There could be other reasons. The optimism is great - but are more lockdowns coming.
