A good discussion on here today. I have traded over the past few months but still have my main holding. I'm waiting for Juanicipio and looking at MAG too.

Negative interest rates are another (new) potential driver for PMs. Seems some banks in Germany are already charging negative rates.

I have just seen the drop, I thought something was in the air as silver was touching $25 and gold 1890 ish and we were not moving much.

I'm not trying to spook anyone. I already have a long term holding, but I also like to trade this share. This is not going to go up in a straight line - so why shouldn't we trade it too.

I wasn't slating anyone, and I have traded TLW with great success over the years. Furthermore, he isn't the only director.

Why will more oil be used during lockdowns ?
If we are still in lockdown by spring and people furloughed - then how can this get to 50p?

I have worked on my oil holdings relentlessly for 7 months and I just need to sit tight at the moment. I may trade some to reduce exposure as I believe the 'optimism' is unjustified, and like we have discussed before - this could be the calm before another storm.

I would be delighted at having a quick recovery, but the longer we are in lockdowns and furlough in the UK until March does not bode well for this. How many businesses will not reopen..

What proportion of the UK population would need to be vaccinated for the government to allow us to resume 'normal' life and what is the time frame for this ?

The joy at finding a vaccine is understandable. However, an economic recovery is some way off, and there could be issues with side-effects from the vaccine. Time will tell.
