Forgive my cynicism but considering the link with Gartner that then had to be retracted, until I see confirmation from Alibaba I will take it with a pinch of salt. It seems it came again from this PR news wire website, which is where all these 'press releases' relating to Fastbase seem to come from. I can't find any press releases or reviews that are independent.

The Rift was released March 2016. Based on review numbers, the Go seems to be doing ok so far, considering they don't seem to have begun marketing the product. You would hope Facebook have some marketing tricks up their sleeves in the run up to Christmas.

Imo a great and obvious way to promote VR would be to get a setup in the middle of busy shopping centres and give people the opportunity to actually try the thing.

The first live gig I think will be an 'artist' which would rule out New Order. They would be great but I don't think they will be at the red hot core of our Melody target audience.

An update on the existing trials is needed imo. Circadian lighting is surely the future but are PSL too early.

VRE's core product is their Engage platform. The Apollo 11 and other features are just that, sideline features. To be able to generate revenue in a nascent industry to balance the cash burn is key to survive in the early lean years. Apollo 11 for VRE you could compare to EVRH making the app mobile accessible.

On a separate note, sounds like Facebook are working on an AR headset. Probably no great surprises but just noticed a conversation on LinkedIn, Facebook's Ficus Kirkpatrick onstage at TechCrunch Sessions confirmed it.

If I am correct, I'm pretty sure SH spoke about AR in his last interview. Another exciting one in the 'pipe'.

In terms of an economic downturn, I really value Ray Dalios views on the market, he is definitely worth looking up if you haven't read or watched any of his materials before. It does seem inevitable that money will be coming out the stockmarket over the next couple of years, but I personally don't think a downturn will be as severe as 2009. Upcoming rising interest rates are inevitably going to puncture the bubble that has been partly created from the quantitative easing money from 2009 onwards. I think it will be a slower, more drawn out puncture compared with 2009 though as I think there are many companies who are in a very healthy position. I agree aswell that I think we will be ok. Watching a gig in VR in your living room is a much more thrifty option than attending live. Lets hope the millions of fans see it that way aswell!

On a separate note, I wonder if and what revenues were built into that 2 year cash burn projection, or did it assume no revenue. I don't suppose there is any way of knowing.

He won't sell up Puddin because he is scared of missing out on the massive gains in 2 years+. He is also scared of the sp cratering in the short term. He is just scared I think. Needs to grow a pair and remember why he invested in the first place. Sorry Foxes to be so blunt.

That article on MM's that was posted yesterday was an excellent read. LTHs need to remember why they invested in the first place and drown out the noise of the daily sp fluctuations. I am down around £40k at the minute on paper, but it really doesn't bother me, as I wouldn't have sold if they were up now anyway. I am holding for at least 3 years so it makes no odds what the sp is. It is clearly being manipulated to create volume for MMs to make their monies. So lot of news is not going to vastly change that in the short term.

Interesting interview with Palmer Luckey, Oculus Founder (skip to 9 mins onwards where he starts talking about VR).

He says current generation VR Headsets are outselling the Iphone at same point in their life span. Also that Oculus surpassed all deadlines given by Facebook 1 year ahead of targets.

Everybody has their own opinion. I'm not missing the point at all Mark. Perhaps you are missing mine.

I could be wrong but I don't believe they appointed for any of the previous vacancies over the past 3-4 months. Lets see if they appoint for these. You can shine a positive on it and buy into the 'expansion' etc language, or you can point to the previous Account Manager and other vacancies that I believe did not get appointed and read into that instead.

I’m pretty sure the recent vacancies (I.e. last 3-4months) were also posted on Indeed. It is free for an employer to post a vacancy on Indeed. I’m not implying anything btw, I don’t think any great significance should be given to posting any vacancies to a freebie website.
