I own a recruitment company, I’m probably one of your customers! I don’t mean to sit with it in all night. I brought it so I could try the app myself. Personally it is not my thing to have anything wireless on my head for any length of time, but I know I’m in the minority there. I had a similar view to yourself with music and VR in that I wasn’t sure, but after trying the app it gave me confidence because the experience is so immersive. It is a different way for fans to consume music and is an addition to gigs and Spotify, not an attempt to replace these in any way imo. All 3 are music but all 3 fall into different categories imo and consumers buying each of the 3 will have different needs/wants from each.
Also for somebody to come along and knock Melody out of the market - there is a barrier to entry because Melody has the deals with the labels, who in turn control the artists. The labels also each have a financial interest in Melody. Similar to Spotify, they are incentivised by our success.
