Going through the comments on his Twitter post just now, I've only looked at the first 50 odd I'd say and, how many comments from fans saying 'I wish I was in London' and 'gutted I'm not in the UK and can't watch it' etc etc

Melody need more engagement here imo. It only takes employing a junior social media person to engage with these people and get the word out. Lots of sales leads going away not fully understanding what is on offer. They will in time I'm sure but nothing wrong with fully capitalising from day one.

It amazes me that posters were asking why FB was being discussed on here, and that FB discussion had no place on this board. Now all of a sudden it is the next ramp vehicle for this share.

Optimist it is misleading to say coverage of FB continues when these are all self publicized. Where are the independent press releases? Where is the acknowledgement from Alibaba?

Anyone who has experienced the app on the Go, will know, Liam Payne fans will absolutely love it and won’t have experienced getting / feeling as close to their hero. There will be plenty of rave reviews after the event floating around I’m sure and those fans will be hooked.

I think we’ll look back on this sp in disbelief in the not too distant future. People will be kicking themselves they didn’t buy more.

Fair enough. Pink Floyd are great and I hope they’ll be on the app, but I’d say the demographic is 16-35 at the minute and this One direction fella is perfect. Hopefully before long the audience is 16 - 100!

Sigrid appeared on Jonathan Ross a few weeks ago, seemed very talented and original. Who definitely doesn’t have their finger on the pulse are folk who are doubting this bod, and their artist selections. Calling for Pink Floyd or asking who Liam Payne is, I am very glad the bod are not on the same wavelength.

On a separate note, a hologram of Amy Winehouse is going on tour with a band next year. I wonder if that is an area Melody are researching. Pretty sure SH mentioned AR fairly recently.

Stand alone wireless headsets (which will open up mainstream adoption) sales were significantly up in Q3. Amazon.com have reportedly sold out of the Go and Facebook pushing a $100m marketing campaign over Xmas, starring various celebs.

You can see on best seller lists how well the Go is doing. I suspect PSVR sales are going to be big aswell, with all the recent deals and bundles.

How much positive newsflow over the past 6 months has resulted in a downturn in the sp. The 45% was a long time coming, and as several posters have pointed out, the short will have to close at some point, which will add more upward pressure.

Based on your posts I’d guess you were short, not long. Trying to put a negative spin on the most influential social media person of 2018 performing the first (of many) live gig, where the only way his millions of obsessed fans can watch is through the app, all while he advertises it for free directly to his obsessed fans. All of this whilst Facebook plough $100m into a marketing campaign in which MelodyVR is front and centre. But no let’s not get carried away with any of that. Not even brexit will stop this rocket now.

I disagree. Look at VR and AR investment over the past 2 years - multiple billions.

That article was posted the other day, and was rightly pulled apart. The author should have done more research into MVR, rather than trying to shoehorn in ‘clever’ analogies that aligned to their mid guided theme.

Also to say VR music won’t get stakeholders attention because the numbers aren’t there - this isn’t a news flash. We are at the beginning, stand-alone VR has barely launched, give it chance.

I nearly left this high definition re-release of Immersive VR Education’s landmark title of the list since the original version was a launch title for the Vive and Rift back in 2016. I changed my mind though since even those who have tried the original will find fresh awe and wonder in this stunning update that serves as a testament to how far IVRE have progressed in such a relatively short space of time. The addition of new demo modes which allow you to choose specific scenes from the full experience are also useful for educators looking to facilitate larger groups. Essential stuff.

I am going to claim I called this one, after guessing one of the One Direction lads. And called the small intimate gig. I'm claiming both!!! Where do I collect my prize!

I don't think it is unrealistic to expect in 2-3+ years time when VR is more mainstream, combined with mobile phone VR viewers being more seemless / better quality, that VR ticket sales to the big live gigs for the mega stars; Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift etc will be in the 10's of millions worldwide.

Not to mention original content, that the bod have stated is a big part of what they are now working on. Whilst inpatient shareholders moan that they aren't doing anything, because they aren't releasing an RNS every 5 minutes to stop peoples butts from twitching.

Jimmy - fair enough, debate is healthy. What I mean with regards advertising; Melody’s brand is getting a lot of exposure from Oculus Go advertising. Melody are not contributing to Oculus’ marketing budget. A big barrier to subscription model business’ is the initial cost in gaining the customer, I.e the marketing spend / brand exposure. My point here is that Melody don’t have that cost. Artists will also advertise directly to their fans via social media, again cost to Melody = zero.

I think you under estimate just how dedicated music fans are to their idols. They will drink up any original content or any way to get closer to their hero.

If you are a conservative investor then this probably isn’t the right share, as it is being heavily manipulated by MMs who know there are likely plenty of weak, novice investors in the share. If you take a 3-5 year view and follow VR industry newsflow, it is easy to be relaxed about the current sp.

My guess is you haven’t tried this app on the Go. It is very immersive and fans who try it will keep going back for new and original content to see their hero.

Flagship = The most important one out of a related group. I.e. The retail company's store in London is their flagship.

Melody is 1 of 4 apps that they are using to advertise the Go. It is the first app that appears on their TV ad = flagship app.

The whole focus and point of the GO is on attracting non gamers to VR, to make VR mainstream. That is why all the apps they are using are not related to gaming - Netflix, NextVR, Oculus venues and our friend MELODY VR.

You don't come across as very bright, as you have totally missed all of the above. 60m might be what the mcap is now but something is only worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it, or in this case, sell it for. Facebook would have to pay 20x the current mcap to buy this business (and that is being conservative).

Why don't you answer my question about how many users Netflix had after 6 months. Or Spotify, Who made you mr chief of asking questions. Based on your posts so far, you should have abit more humility and do some more research before thinking anybody should answer your questions.

Oh and btw, those companies had to fund their own advertising campaigns, EVRH have somebody else doing it for them. I AM creaming my pants at that fact.

Rift is a gaming unit, aimed at gamers / used by gamers. Hardcore / early VR adopter gamers at that. Go is aimed more at the likely Melody app users. I am sure they will be released on all hardware in good time.

Sales look really positive for the Go (based on Amazon best seller rankings) and Melody is one of the 4 main apps Oculus are using to sell their hardware. YET you still have people questioning cash burn (they have 18 months worth) and User numbers (give them chance). What were Netflix user numbers after 6 months? What about Spotify? Tell me doom mongers, what were they?

Lots of squeaky bums amongst some evrh investors it seems. Based on the way this company is being built, I have full confidence in bod ability to deliver live gigs and beyond.

It would be nice to have the first live gig before xmas, closely followed by a few more. Could have a gig a night from xmas to the new year, smash revenue projections out of the park.
