Hate to be a pessimist RE likelyhood of positive game changing news, but IMO main reason for the drop is shorting and MMs playing games. Reason for this little revival this afternoon will likely be MMs again playing games.

I think headset sales being lower than expected comment is going back to 2016. Things starting to pick up now with standalone, tide will turn when Go sales are released. NextVR probably had too much money too early and have wasted it. imo

A good example imo of why the BOD are keeping things back alittle. I have seen numerous posts on here with people singing praises of NextVR getting their 'brand' out there, blowing loads of money on marketing for a market size that just isn't there yet to justify the big spend. A quick way to go broke. Hopefully MVR can cherry pick some of the best redundant staff there.

Most of the video's on NextVR Twitter feed shows views of 2-300, whereas some of MVR are in the 000's.

I agree with you communication isn't the greatest. They said 18 months cash burn though didn't they? They raised the profile and the funds at an enhanced sp when they had to raise funds didn't they? What makes you think they'd do another raise when the sp is heavily discounted? And with 18 months cashburn? Raising money at this stage isn't on the cards at all.

Smith the music labels have a vested interest in the success of Melody, they all have a decent chunk of share ownership in the group. Same scenario as with Spotify. Why would they up sticks with somebody they have been working with and have vested financial interest in, to work with an unproven partner who would be new to the market? The only scenario that happens imo is if some company comes out with some wonder tech that is so far ahead, that they can't not work with that company. And also that that same company gives away a big chunk of shares to the labels, like EVRH have. You could have that danger with any tech company though.

I would bet my bottom dolla it will be available on the Quest at launch. I can't see the argument at all from Mushroom with that. Quest is aiming at the mainstream. I think it is safe to say tethered VR will never be mainstream. Facebook will 100% want MVR app on the Quest.

I personally don’t mind it Milly, don’t think there is anything wrong with debate. I disagree with points that naysayers seem to come up with, which only helps to make me more comfortable with my investment and the progress being made, even if it is more ‘behind the scenes’ progress than what some shareholders would like.

I think with CEEK, the difference between the 2 companies is that CEEK appear to have built up their house really quickly, and their house is made of wood. EVRH are building on solid concrete foundations along with full insulation and brickwork. CEEK will be around for a couple of years, Melody will be around a couple of decades.

Shame Melody might not get their teeth into that market by the looks of this article.

That would make sense to me Scamcap. Facebook are a ruthless company, they would want a trade off for the advertising exposure, even if it was benefiting them helping shift the headsets.

I think that 4 million headsets, I'd be interested to see what PSVR sales figures are. I think they were at 3m prior to Black Friday and Christmas, where there were plenty of bundle deals flying around.

On another note, from what I see, the HTC upgrades announced at CES is a pretty p1ss poor update. Somebody more familar with the technicals will be able to confirm I'm sure.

Some good info, worth a listen. 70 / 30 split between content provider and VR Education for the Engage platform. Interesting to hear DW's views on headset adoption aswell.

This is massive. They only properly started marketing it over Christmas. Sales figures for quarter 4 are going to be big. Shorts are living on the edge, with these figures looming.
