Might have been brought in to negotiate with Tencent to open up China market. Don't know the exact details but I think Spotify and Tencent both took shares in each other before the Chinese floodgates were open for Spotify. I would expect a similar announcement for EVRH before they can enter China.

Asia market is one of the main game changers in the pipeline. They are mad for gaming and will be by far the biggest consumers of VR imo.

I'd get my goggles ready for that.

Incidentally talking of Go batteries, I know this guy is very talented - https://uploadvr.com/palmer-luckey-oculus-batter-god-rays/ but it shows the massive margin of improvement there is in this tech even now, let alone 2 years down the line when manufacturers and chip makers all will be clambering over themselves to join the VR mainstream stampede.

It makes you wonder, have these music bigwigs that have recently joined signing up with little old Melody or are they privy to what is coming, i.e. a buyout by a giant.

The longer we stay just on Oculus, then you have to say the more likely it is that we are already in the midst of being snared by the Facebook behemoth (which would be a shame imo and too early).

Interesting with Facebook shares, many analysts signalling a buy at current price but the analysis never seems to mention or take into account the Oculus division. I guess that will change when the first set of Go sales figures are made public.

Very exciting to read this Forbes article. Many investors (and trolls) factor in what we know, but it’s what we don’t know that excites me the most. This original content they are working on with artists will drive the company forward just as much as Live imo. And there will be nowhere else these mindless, obsessive fans will be able to consume this content. Content that is going to be more immersive than anything they will have experienced before.

I am bullish on evrh obviously, as I am balls deep here but I’m really starting to think this is indeed THE killer app that is going to propel VR into the mainstream. Interactive, original content is what the naysayers are not factoring in.

While I’m not concerned with short term sp, where would we be if not for the current market climate. This shorter could have made a lot more money if they’d shorted the majority of other stocks. Without the current overall market climate I think they’d been underwater here.

When you follow the general VR news flow, it is full of institutions and experts all saying VR is a game changer for education. VR Education positioning themselves very nicely for what will be a mainstream medium in 2-3 years.

Fwiw giving away free is a good move imo. It is all about driving folk to purchase headsets and may have even been part of the bargaining tool with Facebook, with us being front and centre of their campaign, alittle pay back maybe. I fully trust this BOD and the team they have around them to make the optimal moves, as they have done up until now.

ENGAGE is what will make this company, the Apollo / Titanic features are just sidelines to the main event. A deal with Nokia, in talks with Intel. ENGAGE being talked up as the next Skype, which sold back in 2011 for $8.5b. We can but dream....

I took the Xmas opportunity and sold my Go 64gb for £190 on there, will wait for the Quest which is going to be much better imo. It had over 20 offers before auction ended (one offer for £200), lots of interest.

As VR gains momentum and then eventually becomes mainstream, don’t you think BA that more investment money will come in from all directions, including private? We have private investors now who are believing VR will become mainstream. We are the equivalent to the early adopter VR users. But when mainstream VR begins to become a reality then every man and his dog will be jumping on the bandwagon and want investing. Maybe I’m wrong as I’m not that experienced with investing but just how I see it.

My point with Twitter was, the more folk that watch the gig the better. Many didn’t seem to understand it was a VR gig. Customers sometimes need educating, especially with a nascent technology.

True Albert. I do think they are missing a trick though, as many of these fans don't seem to get the concept currently. I'm sure they will when word gets around after this gig though.

Melody Twitter followers doesn't seem to have really increased since the announcement either, which is surprising.
