Last week I phoned the head office to get a revised date for the opening. When no one could tell me I raised it as a 'complaint'. The following is a direct transcription of their reply dated 28 January 2020:-
"We subsequently raised a complaint so that this matter could be investigated in greater detail. We are currently unaware of a date when this store will open as some further unexpected work still needs to be completed, and so our colleagues would not be able to provide you a date as it is not confirmed. Once we know the official opening day, our colleagues would be made aware, they would then be able to advise you accordingly.
We sincerely apologise for the circumstances which had arisen, however we will be unable to uphold your complaint as the correct process has been followed. We appreciate your concerns and we have taken them into serious consideration moving forward."
The letter is signed by Aisling Kane, Customer Services Director
This response did not instil confidence in me.
