How far could this fall? Although MTRO down 7% at present will some of you agree that a daily fall of 2% is not a disaster during a period of uncertainty. And will you agree that the uncertainty could be with us for the next fortnight? Now if we reduce the share price of 168 by 2% a day for a fortnight we have a new price of 137p. Now you may believe the share will not drop by 2% on average each day but some may be thinking it could be more and go on longer than 2 weeks.

"all the bad news out now" yes. However we don't know what effect the 'virus' will have on sales and production. The finances for AML are not sound, and if the sales dried up and the plant had to shut down for say 4 weeks due to staff illness and shortage of parts then the share price could be written down. Wanting to make money from a share is not enough as I have found out to my cost. Trying to learn from my experience. Again good luck, and allow yourself a breather.

Very interesting time to be holding shares at the moment. Cuddo, I think, made a comment that MTRO was heading on down to the 130 level, and then announced that he had bought more. It looks to me that 130 will now happen and am not ruling out 99p.

Not holding OCDO but considering an investment as if people self isolating then food delivery becomes life sustaining, why is it dropping so much? Finding it difficult to understand, surely it should outperform.

With Coronavirus you would be overpaying to buy any business, all takeovers are going to be on hold for a while. A new low share price for MTRO is coming unless there is some FANTASTIC news for the markets.

If markets can see no certainty then it is most unlikely that you will see a takeover for the moment. This share could drop to 300/250/200 or lower still.

Maverick, history tells us you are thinking along the right lines and provided the investor keeps a rainy day fund set aside he/she is likely to come out of it ok. It is time like these when some will become wealthy, but some may go bust. Avoid 'all your eggs in one basket' and avoid following the crowd as they often don't know where they are going or where they want to be. It is worth taking a look at what happened in the 1970's in terms of how markets dropped and quite dramatically rose up. Be ready to buy, but you may have to have sold first. GLA

Perhaps a time to sit on your hands and be comfortable holding cash. Didn't add with MTRO at 155 yesterday. The markets could suffer a major drop this year, a time to watch and listen as you have said.

A buy at 155 looks good if it gets back to 200.
