Sherwood, you might want to ask what on earth your broker is doing in all this? Having worked in this area it smacks to me of the broker hiding behind the current situation. You could approach MTRO direct to get to the bottom of what is really the truth for you. Good luck.

From mid December '19 to now RBS has dropped in price by £1 and MTRO slightly less, probably similar %. My point is MTRO is not being hammered, the banks are. If you want to hold MTRO you have to be patient to allow the CEO to effect changes and for markets to recover. If you want to invest in a bank there might be a greater opportunity to see your money grow with MTRO, than say RBS/Lloyds/Barclays.

I am not going to offer thoughts on this as a TO/JV but as a bank it starts from a low base in terms of seeking to make a profit. Its delivering on service, but has not been good at cross selling its products. IMO Frumkin can easily change this and will. Expect to hear news on this soon as he gives a trading update on the first qtr of 2020.

So sell at £1.25 and buy at 50p. Stop moaning and start acting, blunt but true. GLA

There have been those posting its all over and that there is no future for MTRO, some are therefore selling and aiming to recoup losses elsewhere, and some are buying, but there are also those wanting to wait and see. I'm holding with an investment here, but waiting to buy more if the signals are right for me.

The virus upset to the markets was always going to be particularly difficult for MTRO. You made a decision and could now see an opportunity to buy back below 100p in the next 2/3 weeks, should you so choose. It took away my concern when I sold half at 197 but 'not ready to buy back. ATB.
