Great find as always SG, (loving the third paragraph)
Shanghai Electric successfully delivered 100kW/380kWh all-vanadium redox flow battery energy
storage system to Japanese users
April 28, 2021?Vanadium?
The 100KW/380kWh all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system developed by Shanghai Electric (Anhui) Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully completed. After full system testing and on-site acceptance by the owner, it will be shipped to Japan in the near future to complete the project delivery.
The project consists of electrolyte circulation system, battery system module, power control module and remote control system. The system is designed with a rated output power of 100KW and a rated capacity of 380kWh. It is a research demonstration project of Japan's distributed optical storage micro-grid system. It adopts a set of standard container integrated system and uses efficient control strategies to integrate photovoltaic and energy storage systems into unified management, maximize the consumption of photovoltaic power and improve system efficiency. This field inspection meets the user's requirements, and the operation is stable, which is recognized by the user.
Japan is rich in renewable resources such as scenery, and therefore, all-vanadium redox flow energy storage batteries with longer life and higher safety are more and more popular in the market. Compared with other energy storage batteries, the all-vanadium redox flow energy storage battery has high safety, and the normal temperature and pressure aqueous electrolyte is not easy to catch fire or explode; second, it is environmentally friendly, easy to recycle, and has a high residual value; third, no The attenuation life is long, the charge and discharge does not attenuate, and the capacity can be restored online. Fourth, the power capacity is independent and can be freely combined. After the project is put into operation, it will operate in conjunction with local power stations to participate in power market ancillary services such as regional power grid peak shaving, frequency regulation, and power grid demand response, to jointly solve the problem of local wind and solar abandonment and improve the reliability and stability of the power grid.
The project is independently developed, designed and produced by the technical team of the energy storage company, with core intellectual property rights. This delivery will play a good demonstration role in opening up Japan and more overseas markets, and will be a useful exploration for the engineering and industrialization of the new generation of vanadium redox flow battery technology.
FYI, Thanks to taufour for his trade capture tools, here's the IES exit trade at £1.40 on 6/4/21.

Recently max buy 15k v max sell 200k too. Has the feel of shares being scarce and volumes low so resorting to old tricks to hold the SP again. Been a lot of paired buy/sell trades over the past week too, mostly printed at the bid to enhance the perceived sell volumes. AIMHO.
Nice 750k buy just printed.

As you said earlier wyndrum, buyers want lower entry so try to drive the price down, sellers want out at higher price so ramp it up. Hopefully all resolved quickly .....................and can be included as a footnote in the Q1 report ;-)
Jagadish,
Using a crude guesstimate for the bid/ask over time I get the split something like below. Someone still offloading biggish chunks 500k, 250k. Someone is taking them though. Hopefully the post on the telegram group that some activity has been restored at Vametco means we get a positive RNS on the subject soon.

.. and at some point along the way Mokopane will ideally be mobilised to feed Vanchem. It's reasonably likely that a JV/Off-take will make this happen providing an additional income stream from the concentrate feeding the off take and hopefully even lower cost raw resource for Vanchem. All bumping the already bulging bottom line. GLA.
Morning All, I really think everyone needs to calm down a little. Having complained about comms/PR we have now had a flurry of decent news and interviews. Would we like more? Yes but they have to have something (preferrably new) to say.
As I have said before I deal with Chika regularly, not always a smooth or timely interaction but I tend to get there in the end. I received her permission yesterday to post her reply to me from 29/3 (below). It looks like all the warriors will have the opportunity to step out from behind their keyboards soon.
I would suggest that everyone thinks long and hard about how to use this opportunity to get the best outcome for shareholders(SP) and not turn it into a rant-fest. They will not be able to divulge anything market sensitive so questions will need to be posed with this in mind.
I am hopeful that Fortune has further good news to report before this event happens so fingers crossed. GLA.

Subject: Investor Meeting post on twitter
Hi Chika,
The post below appeared on twitter a few days ago. Can you please confirm that this will be a genuine (much needed) opportunity to discuss matters with Bushveld management as advertised. And if yes, do you have the date for the event please?

Many thanks for your assistance as always.
Kind Regards,
Sontam, If there's enough money to be made producers like BMN will probably dig up some extra to keep the steel sector running. The good thing is they have about 60-80 years worth in the ground and the more they dig up the less it costs due to economies of scale. Personally I suspect we'll see some JVs/off-takes in place to allow some serious players (steel and VRFB) to secure V supply. IMHO suppliers like BMN will not want to or encourage the V price to spike as severely as the last one. Possibly overshoot the $45-$50 goldilocks point a bit and settle back there as long term off-takes are signed. All IMHO.
@jamiejojo, Have you heard that the Vametco maintenance has been completed? Excellent news if so, delivered as planned in Q1. Now we can look forward to 3 quarters of hopefully improved full whack production. Moreso now that the V price is moving up again, circa 6% up this week in China according to Asianmetals. Steady solid steps forwards and upwards.
