Nice find DBB, Bushveld also mentioned.
"Lee Wild, head of equity strategy at Interactive Investor, says demand for vanadium, used in storage systems for renewable energy, is likely to increase.
He suggests fans of the metal buy into South African producer Bushveld Minerals. He also favours lithium, used in electric vehicle batteries. "
100% mogwhy. Also anyone setting up self generation can allow for future additional capacity and grid connectivity in their design as the rules will undoubtedly be changed again in the not too distant future. At that time they will be in position to further leverage any investment they make now. For the millionth time...Mikhail your time is now.
Doesn't mention BMN directly but VRFBs and IES get a good plug. All good publicity for a vanadium producer.

Yup, left it 30mins to report the cancellation...possibly to take the sting out of the rise again.

Thanks Lindon, I was more suggesting that an unfavourable change/listing could not be foisted on us without us being able to resist it. There is no real advantage to SA investors as UK investors will be able to buy at the same price form the same (but split) share issue. Can't see BMN bothering with a secondary JSE listing as it could possibly exclude some of the II interest they may be hoping for.
Also agree regarding the tender bids, we should already have heard about the BESS Phase 1 and Mantashe recently said that they already know the preferred bidders for the IRP Risk Mitigation so that should only need to be announced by end of March. Finger crossed we are in there in some beneficial capacity.

Has anyone registered for this? Is anyone from BMN lined up. There doesn't appear to be anything coming from the BMN side about it. Just curious before registering with another source of email spam.
John, You are broadly correct I believe. The 66% can vary but looks pretty stable for the past years production. And if Tin stays above $30k jobs a good un. Once they add the tantalum near term hopefully and Lithium longer term then the feeling is that 2 of the three products will be pure profit as the first product will cover costs.
"Tin concentrate production for the 2021 Financial Year totalled 473 tonnes, for a total of 311.7 tonnes of contained tin metal. The Company continues to achieve an average payability of 94% (referring to the percentage of the LME tin price realised for the tin contained in concentrate). The concentrate continues to be largely free of deleterious elements, resulting in a high grade, clean concentrate."
Just an fyi...

Also from the newbie enquiries here, it looks like the word on Tin and Afritin is getting around.
A snapshot of the energy sources used for power generation in South Africa in 2020.
Will look very different in a decade. We're beginning a rapid energy transition.

Looks like the MMs are working a little harder for shares now. Inching the ask up but keeping the max buy tight at 200k. Also keeping the bid down (wide spread) to further deter buyers until they fill their order(s). 6.15/6.39 real spread a short while ago.
