Much better news - Iraq finally realises KRG doesn’t actually have any oil to export other than that which it has licensed to IOCs.

A cut and paste from any other international country’s contract plus repay of outstanding debts would be lovely.

Guess if you’re looking for a positive, if you can buy the shares back at cost or less in a few years then it might work out cheaper as no capital to repay and every BB reduces dividend overhead. Reliant on excellent cashflow and no more spending though 😀😀

Was issued at 0700 this morning but I got the email with same info from Dec IR at 2115 last night. Guess the markets were both closed so it doesn’t matter but seemed strange.

In the ABS X set up they managed to raise $530 million ish with the arrangement being 5 times oversubscribed by lenders! So why was the additional equity raise required???

But, US up to £10.80 after market so going to try to start trading this morning.

But they were only happy to sell it through KRG back in 2014/2016 - after that it was delay after delay in payments and they were just getting part payments and racking up monies owed!

Only figure we’ve seen is SOMO paying KRG $16 a barrel for “production and transport costs” - nothing about fair market rates and what will be on top of the $16 as profit.

Plus once SoMO pay KRG where’s the guarantee that paying IOCs will be prioritised over paying teachers, police and doctors ?

Tricky stuff to sort out - frustrating that they could have resolved all of this 2 years ago with no need to close the pipeline.

Don’t underestimate self interests taking priority over common sense and the general good.

None of the “expert” reports seem to realise or acknowledge that the KRG don’t actually have any oil, other than that which they buy locally from IOCs at less than half international cost (this was a stopgap to keep minimal extraction and cashflow whilst pipeline was shut).

The oil belongs to the IOCs so without decent recompense they won’t be exporting or uplifting production to the levels quoted.

They’ve been burnt by local politics/ greed / dishonesty etc many times so will want robust contracts irrespective of what the fat orange bloke wants.

Else it’ll be an open pipeline full of KRG air.

That’s what the filter option is for. Use it and get rid of all the nonsense 😀

You’re losing it! I never mentioned EBITDA I said that positive FCF was a forecast not a fact. When it comes from a company with previous for it and a non qualified CFO there must be an element of doubt.

Ditto one off exceptional items - just stuff you hadn’t anticipated and planned for (Covid and Ukraine for example). Differing one offs do crop up in successive years as per my examples. WG have shown some pretty poor planning last few months!

I’m not saying WG is going bust, I’m not saying they can’t manage their debt and I’m not saying the takeover won’t go ahead.

But, afraid facts trump your opinions - you must be really arrogant and conceited if you can’t even acknowledge the possibility of an incorrect forecast or more one off costs.

Perhaps you’re never right at home or work so this is your only refuge.
