Having sat with this and seen it retreat like it has for almost 6 months, should be used to it by now.
I am grateful that we havnt had a really volatile 10% down day.

I'm finding it really hard to have a realistic, measurable and achievable target on this share.
I could say 1.50 and still be here in 5 years.
I bought itv 5 years ago at around d 1.80, felt it was a good price at the time, and it's never reached those dizzy heights again.
You're dammed if you do and if you don't.
I think anyone who owns cine shares will develop emotional behavioural problems!!!

You know what it's like, if it reaches 75 I will probably get greedy and change my mind!!
And the tranche I have in my isa I'm averaged at 85 and no available funds to average down. That is what is so frustrating.
But you're probably right.
It woukd be interesting to know how many times each day people check their stocks sps.
Or should I say how many times an hour !!!

5 % drop in 2 hours, sick of this absolute s---e share.

There's never any reasoning behind the volatility of this share, it goes up nicely on nothing, and down on nothing. When you have large sums invested it is a daily roller coaster, not really for investors , better type of stock for gamblers.
As soon as this hit 75 I'm out, I'd rather a stock that generally tracks news and the ftse
I think that until cine show the markets through positive financial updates and consistent improved Box office numbers, this is where its at.

Turning into a very poor performing share this year, even IAG is up today. Cannot understand why there is no support for this company, good results, sound fundamentals and yet it drifts on relatively good days

Bring back Trump, at least the travel and leisure stocks wouldn't be taking such a beating.

Me too , I bought more at 370. I felt it was going to try and break back over 400 this week, and the only thing that makes any sense is whether shorters have the ability to drop the price like this to buy back and close their positions before the DPO deal completes.

Well not according to this site, very low volumes, only just over 100k shares.

Why is this tanking today, more buys than sells, no news, baffling.

Easy for you guys to say that when you're averaged at around 2 quid , anyone would be relaxed about their capital and dividend income.
But not when your averaged much higher than that and have had 20% of your capital decimated following the latest expected results, which showed a slight revenue decline from the previous year and the markets slammed it.
That says that it was overpriced significantly prior to those results and the revenue decline was unexpected, and I feel mugged off for having a 5 quid average. Yeah dividends are always useful but not at the expense of 15-20% of your capital

Funnier things have happened and it makes you wonder why John Malone maintains his Liberty stake in ITV with no capital growth or dividend return.
Imo the likes of Piers Morgan make no difference at all, it's the advertising revenue that pays the bills, not some jumped up gooner at 8 AM !!!!
Shame Amazon or Netflix don't fancy a mainstream broadcaster.

There really is no fundamental reason why this is performing so poorly, hopefully this will turn very quickly and burn all shorters who want the majority to lose.

That article was released at 11 am local time ( probably in LA)
Think that was after our markets closed, cineworld us usually follows the UK, amc and cinemark def down.
I'm not technical but someone on the advn site was talking about a finish above 67 48 today boxing well for a move up. Hopefully the markets won't have a field day about this news, you never know we may go up 5%.
North America is our biggest market so definitely a concern. My feeling is once they've peaked and it becomes apparent that the vaccines work, and this wave is not so bad ( as our delta wave wasnt), they will panic less.
At the end of the day cineworld can't rely on 2 or 3 films to keep afloat. I would be very worried if spiderman got put back.
Bet we open over 70 tomorrow!!
