Don't feel a bummer mate. I'm the bummer, I stupidly sold all my holdings in my ISA to buy two shares and am down 27k since 1st July in that ISA and can't average down as used up 20k limit so stuck looking at those daily falls!!
NEX is in a share dealing account , so been averaging down, but read the half year update again, this is sentiment driven, NEX was on a continuous upward growth trend prior to COVID and I have no doubt it will recover.

Yes I have, unfortunately I have been averaging on 3 of my investments and am very exposed here and in CINE.
Not really worried about NEX, just reread half year update, mentions the outcome of a business review to be revealed at capital markets day which the IR person also said in her email response.
I'm down almost 70k on all my investments since 1st July, but don't need to sell so will wait it out.
Be happy to break even with CINE currently down 20k, Micro focus I'm down 18k but like NEX I'm confident that will become a profit by 2023.
But uts hard to watch.
Today is the first time I averaged down with NEX another 5k at 217 and it ended higher.

Well I'm in for 40k shares at 251 which is feeling rather painful at the moment.

Been no support for this stock in 3 months, be lucky to be over 300 by November

I'm underwater on everything I own except m & s, Lloyds and CPI, and all since 1st July.
It's been a torturous summer.
The only hope at the moment is that the markets seemed to rocket from Dec to March right through lockdown last year, after the vaccine announcement in November

What's clear is, Biden and Boris are more concerned about saving a few extra lives and public services / opinion, than the economy, businesses, etc etc.
Next they will be talking about restrictions everytime there is a flu outbreak.

It's been 6 months now of gradual decline, and sentiment around PM and his advisors press conference yesterday about winter surge in cases is making things worse.

Following yesterday's press conference, the press are already scaremongering about covid in winter
The Time today saying chief medical officers tell PM go hard and go early if cases surge in winter.
It's never ending this, probably this negative sentiment that is affecting most of my shares today, again.

I think today was DOW related. Everything was tickety boo when DOW futures were up, but as soon as they opened, it retreated and everything here did.

Where did you see that short tracker shows yesterday and not on that, was it today.

Or maybe that's why it dropped!!

I have taken on board your tip re 200 SMA, and will use that moving forward and thankyou for that because I'm not a chartist.
A lot of mine are well in the red and below the 200, but it is a case of selling at a loss and buying back cheaper which might be worth it if it were to drop considerably further, or just wait it out moaning like a Minnie on here until it does trend up again!!
People will travel as much as previously again, NEX is a well placed as any to start growing again, and I just can't see it dropping to September 20 levels again.
