In these very difficult times, welcome to the happy place. For the most part this BB is a sanctuary of good news (even here you get the odd, odd poster). Lots of great debate, analysis of facts and sharing not hopes and dreams.
I was reading coaches post with much interest and it certainly brought to the surface my own feelings about GGP. They say life is a journey and I am not sure I want the GYM journey to end. It has become a hobby as well as a great investment. Reading the board sometimes is like walking into the Cheers Bar.....not that everyone knows my name but I have certainly got to know many here, their posting style and content.
A new poster reminded us below of the potential waiting behind Hav. I have decided that frankly irrespective of how high this stock gets I will retain a holding of sorts. It might not be everyone's cup of tea as hobbies go but it has become my hobby and a very lucrative one at that.
RRR you asked whether it will rocket next week on good news. I don,t know...sorry. I am expecting good news though! I don't like big spikes...people can lose money because they over invest with little thought to find frame for holding. I look forward to the days of institutional investors here and nice steady SP growth as our licences start to reveal their secrets.

Are you referring to BMV with your target price or GGP - would be interested to hear your views on BMV - we don't get much debate on here at the moment but sense that will change on the back of positive funding news.

Hi Moneymaker - I have an interest in GGP - just didn't want to discuss here but my posting history is reflective of my very pro feelings there. I disagree on the hype by the way.
In someways discussing that share and BMV is like comparing your kids. I always look at the MC rather than shares in issue which I don't play a lot of store by. Then there is the position within the project lifecycle - with BMV given we are (hopefully!!) reopening, many of the initial gold mine stages were passed decades ago. Cost of extraction / political stability of the jurisdiction / POG / length of time to production / funding / scope of licences held / grade of gold - all have their part to play and it was for these reasons why I said that GGP was very different to BMV. Not better or worse - just different. I am invested in both and like my kids and I want them to both do well.

Spy - your comment about not being stressed - it would make a great opening line in a fact based book on how GGP made a lot of people on here very comfortable financially. Chapters unfolding before our eyes.

SeriouslySkint - yes that is normally the case. To draw a parallel - it would be like a retailer making a call on whether to sell a number of stores or not - that is what we as shareholders empower the BoD to make decisions on our behalf.

You need to look at DL and understand that primarily he is a salesman and no one can deny that he can generate interest in a stock. It is unfortunate that many will have followed him somewhat blindly in the past and have bitterly regretted that decision however some will have made good money if they got out at the right time.
His motivations here could be numerous:
-He is commenting on Haverion as a good news story and it is good to be seen to be commenting positively on what we think is looking to be an increasingly sure thing. He can then say I told you so - adds in the eyes of some to his credibility.
- Don't forget he is a mining engineer and worked at Telfer - this is personal I suspect because of his history
-I suspect he holds 1 or 2 shares in NC, GGP and ARV
So just because he is commenting does not detract from the story. if anything be thankful as he is getting the story to a wider audience.

Very different to GGP unless you count the common commodity of gold but yes this has yet to hit main stream interest at the moment.

wow - just checked POG - now $1736 - it is not unfeasible that this reaches $1800 per oz before month end at this rate!

Chris - no idea frankly but I am expecting it be positive of course. I think that the plan to production is almost as important as confirmation that funding is in place. SK looks like they are controlling Covid well and from the looks of the last RNS we have a pro mining government and no royalties on the gold and it's appreciating as we speak. The question will be how long until production and monetisation and what thoughts for increasing production over subsequent months. I think that investors will have wanted to take their seats well in advance of the main feature here and of course they are also eyeing up other potential mines as well, so maybe we get left of field news on that front as well.
Lots of potential and Gold is most certainly the place to be over the coming months and possibly next few years with the way the world is currently.
What thoughts do you have on the matter?

POG currently $1727 - as the world starts to realise just what the financial impact of Covid is, the POG will continue to rise. I am afraid that Covid is going be a long drawn out issue and people will increasingly look to one of the historic safe havens - Gold - to try and make sure that there wealth is not eroded (if they are the fortunate position of having investments - most people live almost hand to mouth relying on credit to meet the unforeseen events - this is an unforeseen event like as never seen before).
Keep safe everyone. When all is said and done your health is your wealth. Family and health come first above everything else.

Every round penny seems to create resistance - psychological either on the buyer part or the MM's playing to that psychological barrier - once broken it always seems to be like a coiled spring. 8p will be no different when it happens imo.

Moving back up $1713 as I type. Nice to have in the background as you sit there negotiating a finance deal to reopen a gold mine!

$1710 - on the way back up. We seem to be in the $1700 +/- $20 range at the moment - just wondering when (not if) this will start the next push forward. The bad news regarding business is really only starting unfortunately. Even when the pandemic is 'under control' the business repercussions will be felt for years - people who are fortunate still to have jobs will be reticent to spend and they will be in save mode and world economics will continue to be in a tail spin for years. Gold will be the go to safe haven and much of the reason that Bank of America is forecasting $3K per oz in 18 months.
Of course we must all remember that your health is your wealth and there will be many poor souls out there that would happily give all the gold in the world to have their loved ones back. Puts everything into perspective.
