Totally agree Lunch. If this project is a goer at high tax rates then a) there is less likelihood of a change in fiscal terms and b) the government of whatever persuasion will want this to go ahead asap.
However on the PFS/DFS timing I am disappointed with yet more delays. Werent we promised a super PFS that encompassed a lot of the DFS, such that the DFS would be out this December? Instead we get a good PFS this April, the super (PFS+) in December and the DFS Dec 23. Whether this has any effect on first ore I dont know, but it further demonstrates that the company really dont have a clue on timings. Probably cos they have never done anything like this before. Which is another reason they should be let anywhere near mine build and production.
But its a great asset and thats the only reason I am invested.

There are lots of positives from yesterdays PFS but the things that hang over the sp are the time to production, the financing and the cash burn. So imo place $100m with the Chinese and quickly work out how the open pit brings cash flow sooner. That will address the issues as atm the instos think there is a placing coming and they neednt buy now.

There is also a report on the pfs in mining journal. I can see headline but not report as behind a pay wall.

I dont have a problem with higher price assumptions being used as a) the prices have risen and b) the costs will have risen too, and maybe by a lot more than the price assumptions. Not clever to move price assumptions and not the costs, but neither is it to do it the other way around. Both or neither is my preference.
And, I reiterate that BHP wont have exercised any options as it requires stockex notification. Dont know how many times I have to keep saying this.... plus options knowledge on this bb is abysmal.

Those who are interested should listen to a Bloomberg interview with Jeff Currie of GS. I think its available as a podcast on Apple or Spotify. From yesterday.
Currie is suggesting that copper will be the tightest commodity ever seen. Points to the example of oil in the 2000s when it went up 7 fold. GS have an initial forecast of $15k, but the implication is for much, much higher.

Its a passive tracker fund. If its in the MVIS index, they have to own the shares. They dont have the capability to abandon GGP unless very strange things were to happen.

Of course you are right Addicknt. The first PFS would have been suicidal and showed NM not to be capable of taking the company forward. Other than that KM didnt do a great deal and clearly wasnt CEO material (by his own admission), but pulling the first PFS was a critical step to getting here.

Fascinating time. I have pulled my sell orders at 45p (actually never put them in) and will wait for the inevitable bidding war. Darryl seems to be a proper CEO, not like the last two clowns. Quite refreshing. This is how a company should be run. Makes a difference.

Morning DBW. I think the answer must be none as there would need to be an RNS for any options exercised, as this would change the shares in issue and therefore the denominator.

Well said Paddy and Bamps. One thing I forgot to mention from Mondays meeting was the question of processing costs at Telfer. A very good question from someone sadly I cant recall.
GGP has an agreement that the processing of the ore will be done at cost +10%. Shaun thought this a good clause. I think its brilliant, so although I am very critical of GH, on this I doff my cap to him, or whoever negotiated it. Its not an absolute cap as the cost element can move but for NC to only get 10% margin when we had no other alternative I think will serve us well for years to come.
