The only time that the management can do this is when they aren’t in possession of material info. So this weeks drilling news cleared the decks and so it’s safe to say no news is imminent.
Today’s options are about 1.5% of shares in issue.....

This is a tiny amount and irrelevant to the success of the company. Anyone who thinks this is a defining moment should sell up cos they just cant see the bigger picture. Most of us probably own more shares than the sum of these options.

Hi Quady. Are you saying that NM, who gave a presentation only last week in Denver, when he said MRE3 would be by end of this year and PFS would be by end of 1st qtr 2020, has brought the PFS forward to end of this year? If that is the case when and where did he say that?
I know that he has been in NYC and Boston last cupla days and is in Toronto today, so maybe things have changed which would be pleasant, if surprising, news. It would also be significant.

Hi Quady. Just a couple of points. PFS isnt now till end of 1st qtr 2020 and the money will run out before Xmas at this rate of spend. I recall the spend for balance of year being $44myn or so which is twice the cash. So out by early Nov.
The rest is entirely logical.

Richy, I dont expect it will DO anything but if I just send a one liner to Anna, she can answer or ignore (normally she answers), but if 100 sh wrote and demanded some proper updates and a well thought through plan, she may also ignore it, but she/the company would also know where the views of the PI lay. I doubt that she has the time to trawl through all the posts on here and elsewhere anymore, so its a way of getting across our dissatisfaction with being kept in the dark.

Why don’t either of you contact Anna and ask her what the feck is going on?!!!

NC have the right of first refusal to farm in to BH, but I presume these results wont get them rushing to do so. I presume that NC will want GGP to do a lot more drilling before that happens? Anyone think differently?

WI has an agenda against the bod though loves the asset. None of this is new news though. Maybe CGP should bid for Solgold if he thinks the real brains are with CGP!!

Paddy, you might want to see if you can listen in to Merian Gold and Silver Fund's webcast that was 10am this morning. Ned Naylor-Leyland pretty bullish (as he often is!). Sees 25% higher Au and 100% higher Ag, if I havent misquoted him. Its an interesting philosophy and fund for those interested in collective investments. I have a bit, plus a gold ETC and a silver ETC.

Just for fun, how many ozs has Telfer mined and got left? Is it 24myn?

There are very few hostile offers for minnows.
From a Telfer point of view they will effectively own all of Hav, as NC will own 75% and GGP will get Telfer to process their 25%, either by outright sale or toll processing. GGP would not want any kind of sale until all the drill results are known anyway.
I still favour a strategic stake by NC a la Solgold.

Skippo, the book I liked the most is 'Simple but not easy'. Also whatever Terry Smith writes is full of common sense. For entertainment and business, Michael Lewis is a great writer.
The only reason I invest is to make money to spend, so if the time horizon becomes too far away, I may make money, but I will be too old to spend it!! I am 63 and my business was commodity and equity trading - some years ago now.

Maybe there is some mileage in a major taking a minority stake in GGP. This will give GGP some much needed cash and the major can influence the direction of travel for GGP. There could also be some synergies in sharing exploration thoughts and technologies.

I dont really understand why anyone is at all excited by a dividend. I would rather a company paid little or no div if it meant they had much more productive use of the cash. High divs mean that its a mature biz with no means of usefully deploying the cash. If anyone wants div income they can have whatever yield they want by just selling some shares every period.
