Does anyone have an idea when NC will have a stab at a first MRE? Do we have to wait till they have completed the farm in requirements?
Otherwise it’s all a bit of guesswork, unless they tip off numis for them to revise their note.....

I very much doubt that any company will have any agreement that is dramatically different to the others. They will probably all use the same (few) international law firms and these firms will prob have a local rep law firm.
Mind you Solgold havent negotiated any mining contracts yet, just exploration contracts.

Hi Paddy. I have always thought it odd when people use such numbers like 2g/t. Thats great for a slither from a drill hole but that doesnt mean that the bits not drilled will be the same. But if we get >2g/t in the drill bit, other places can be lower or nothing to still get a mineable average. Not sure what the average drill result needs to be to allow one to be certain that even if the no drilled parts have little to nothing, we still have an economic mine. I suppose to a greater extent it depends how many holes are drilled?

RTC, what you have said is really quite daft. Do you think that Hav is so big that NC wont be able to handle it all and so that anything Artemis find will give them the opportunity to play one off against another? That would probably need to be 25m ozs. I think most of us could deal with that problem!
Far more likely is that we have (say) 3m oz and anything found next door will increase the viability of the region, and the processing at Telfer.

What news was there since Friday close that would suggest it should have gone up today? None, so any movement today was just random noise.....

BM, thats the trouble with trading half - you will always wish you had done all or nothing!
But having an investment that is appropriate for your risk tolerance is the most important first step.

Personally I would be surprised if NC do anything as they are pretty busy with Red Chris and Havieron and I dont suppose this political turmoil will have made them more inclined to invest further, albeit cheaper levels.
On the other hand given the complete lack of funding news from NM, maybe this has what they have both been waiting for.
I guess we will find out soon!

One thing that hasnt been discussed (and a lot of high quality thoughts have!), is assuming that we have a mine to develop, how will GGP pay for its 25/30% of the costs? Firstly I have no clue as to how much mine development would be.
Will the 5% we sell to NC pay for it all?
Will we have to sell more than 5%?
Will/could we sell FT/BH/EG etc etc?
Can we raise enough bank debt to cover the costs until production revenue rolls in?
I guess it depends on the state of the market - px of Au, availability of financing and market for other assets, but its something that will hopefully have to be addressed.

Its a reasonable question addicknt and any decently managed company should both know the answer and be able to share it with its s/holders. So I would encourage you to ask her. For those who think this isnt her job and she has better things to do, I would politely disagree most strongly.
My gut feeling (or something in the back of my mind) is that Cascabel isnt but some of the other '12 priority targets' are. So drill those last when the country has got used to being a mining country, rather than 'imminently'.

I presume that is your version of humour realist. If it has got to 2p the company wont exist, the bod will have lost control and I would guess that substantially worse things will have happened politically than now.
Valuation is out the window, just a question of who has the confidence/guts to see out the storm vs those who cant afford/stomach the losses. Its really p1ssing me off, but whether I lose a lot or a little on a mark to market valuation, fortunately shouldnt affect my lifestyle in the st. It certainly will though if we are still here in 5 years time!

Well that would be great but very unlikely, mainly because they have so much no public, price sensitive information that they wouldnt be allowed to. To clear the decks on this information would require one of the biggest RNSs ever seen imho!

You could view this two ways. To be generous the company os ignoring the short term noise and getting on with their day job, including issuing options to non execs, which is debatable, but thats another issue.
On the other hand one could say that the company doesnt give a stuff that real s/holders are puking up their hard earned cash big time and are happy to keep rewarding management with options that they have done nothing to deserve.
ATM I am in the latter camp but I will be one happy chappy if his options are exercised......

Hi Pad, sadly I cant see this w/o paying a ridiculous sub. However the headline seems to suggest to me that NM has put the For Sale sign up. Why would you spend any time saying that you fear a low ball bid, unless that was what you were precisely trying to solicit.

It doesnt generally, but it does happen to be so with current exchange rate, shares in issue and value in the ground.
