Hi bald, well I guess I am lucky as for the last 20 yeats I haven't had to worry about isa's etc . I have plenty of other savings and plenty of cash in the back , plus no mortgage and just bought a new 23 reg car for cash and just booked another holiday.

I now play the markets for fun /enjoyment /interest and spending money, but I still don't like losing it.

Sorry contrarian, I have learnt over many years to not waste my time or worry about things I cannot change.

There are more important things in life, but you must do what you want to even if your wasting your time.

I don't do protests , I leave that up to people like yourself if it makes you feel better for doing so.

A new all time low, must be worth buying more !!!!

Hi greenWolf, but can I have a cash isa upto £20k and a share account isa ?

Hi guys thanks for that info, up until now I have never needed the ias accounts as I have always had a joint account and could have made £20k =+ without worrying about C/G tax and even now I can still make what £12k in our joint account without doing a self ass form.

I have been with Inter /investments for what 15/20 years however long they have been going but if ITV come good I might need a new isa account to cover me.

I have been trading for 40 years but never had a isa shareholding account. I guess I might need to check out isa shareholding accounts, I know you can have these for shares you keep/ hold for a while but can you have an isa share coount with day trading shares , be gratful for more info from others.

The trouble is now is a funny time,if you are retired and don't need lots of money you have to watch the Divi tax free allowance.

Now it's only £1,000 or £2,000 for joint accounts and once you go above that you then need to fill out a self assestment form and do it every year.I for one don't want to do that so will limit my Divi income to £2,000 this tax year and hope to make my limit on CT allowance. So not too bothered as I think ITV will come back to 90p-£1 this year. It's all a game.

Hi contrarian, the trouble is that would be a complete waste of time,.

If every poster on here emailed McCall which might be what 2-3% of the shareholding it would not even be enough to make it worthwhile for taking into acount . so a complete waste of time. We are better off just sitting this out for a while as it will all settle down in a few weeks with the SP coming back. Stop getting up-tight with things you cannot change, it's all part of the game. !!!!

The thing is ITV is never going bust and at these prices the business becomes an even bigger buy and at some stage other companies will not be able to resist some sort of takeover bid.

Now does anyone yet know if ITV have the ladies football rights coming up, which should push up viewing numbers and advertising.

Will soon all blow over and the SP will be back to £1.

Well I can't believe that, higher sales but stilla small loss.

I guess the SP will NOT be going back to £1.40 ish soon then, just have to wait another year. !!!!!!!

Well this divi is safe regardless so we haven't got to worry about that , but the SP will go down another 4p ish when it goes ex divi.

Let's worry about the next divi in 6 months time when things could have changed a lot.

So a new long term low , I think we will see 70p now within the next week.

Simple because 60p or 50p is unrealistic where as 70p is possible.
