Pogo, please just stop talking waffle and saving the world over the next few years, many/most on here just don't care about long term. what is long term it's different for everyone and many just want to buy a few shares hold a few weeks and make profits after selling.

I am not really interested in ITV in 2-3 -5 years time, I used to hold Carton the old ITV at about £2 and If I had held them on a 3-5 year plan I would have lost plenty. Life is now so if you can buy and sell ITV many times and make money that's got to be a much better plan.

I just hope you don't hold these for 1-2-3 years on the hope they will be £1.50-£2 but never get there.

My money will be like the supermarkets and turn the money over and over again before they have to pay the bill.

Hi Pogo, Many including myself disagree with your plan. What do you mean by long term?

If your happy to keep buying now and then sell in 5 years at a big profit then great if that happens, but there could also be a big negative period in 3 months 1-2 years time which could mean ITV being only 35p again.

Sorry have plaid that game for years and come unstuck on some shares. So now I choose to buy and sell when I can make a profit and keep tucking it away.

Going to buy more today if we hit 77p-78p and then sell again at 85p and sleep at nights. But everyone to their own.

Pogo, we all know you mean well and point out a number good facts but come on you also talk a lot of rubbish which most of us just don't give a fig about.

Yes it was a bad day in US and far east markets also went down big numbers , so I am expecting big drops here today and we could see 75p again with ITV. let's see what happens.

But this should start to build to 85-90p just before x divi date when we can sell again for more profit.

Hi Pogo, good move and well done and I should have pushed the buy button but life's a gamble.

I almost pushed the buy button this morning at what 79p ish but thought it would come down a little more. How wrong can you be.

Pogo, I know you think you know better than many on here and maybe you do with some years of trading, but don't assume others don't know what they are doing because many including myself have been playing this game for over 40 years so NOT a beginner or novice .

Also with regards to Divi's, I have made divis on ITV about 5p , CARD about 4.5p and VOD about 4p as well as making money on the SP's , so I am happy with what I do.

We should all be trying to help each other without trying to change other posters methods which no one can G/Tee works.

I don't want or need to make big amounts of profits where I then need to fill in self assessment tax forms, I have a state pension and a private pension where my company takes care of my tax coding so I am not looking to make more paperwork.

Every one to their own methods, but best of luck.

Pogo, I have bought held sold ITV about a dozen times over the last year and still hold a big chunk.

I did have an ave at one time of about 85p then about 70p , I bought lots at about 70p again and sold them at about 85p while still holding a chunck.

I then bought back in again at about 80p and I hold more now than I did about a year ago but been making money all along the trading days.

It's not my plan just to keep buying and then waiting for a high price which might take another year the way it's going. So don't do what I do , you stick to your plan which I am sure is best for you and I will keep trying to make the odd few grand when I can. This way I keep investing the money I make and NOT my own money,

Hi pogo, I can understand your plan to just keep buying ITV and sit on them until they come good.

But in all honesty I don't think the city have any faith in ITV , look the ftse has gone up again today some 110 + points and ITV have gone up what about 1p-2p so when the ftse goes down again which it will ITV will fall again.

Heaven knows what will happen if a war in the middle east does break out as most are now saying it's 50.50, then all shares will plummet as well as ITV. I still hold a large amount for long term but the way this moves I have a good mind to sell a lot more if we hit 84p-85p and play safe.

If it goes to 84p-85p today I am selling and then try to buy back cheaper.

Yes I also sold a chunk at 85 ish and bought back in at 80. But still sitting on cash and thinking of buying more.Good times will come in a few days /weeks. I hope.

Yes I hear thr £1 will be in the first /second week of Aug. Hold tight.

Rob, I guess it all depends on your buy in price. I am not looking at long term 1-2 year I am only looking at short /med term say 6 months and with an ave of about 80p now I will be more than happy with £1 on the volume I hold.

So for me it's an easy win, but maybe for anyone with a higher ave it might be harder to make lots of money.Anyway everyone to their own. 90p next week and £1 by end Aug.

Ok I saw that with the wrong sight.

From my point of view, I think we have had a lot to put up with over the last year but I have still managed to make money.

But now I feel that the Dame has done a good job and turned this around with higher profits,reduced debt and held Divi while still growing the business and now more than ever is the time to top up with £1 now in our sites. I can't see the Dame going for another few years now but I don't care as long as we do grow SP and business and I make money, but I guess it matter at what price you bought in.

OK by what the RNS has said it looks like CAPEX on ITVX has now been done and we look forward to a better return, but what about AI ? Will ITV announce any CAPEX on AI and what will AI do if anything for ITV.
