No board member will resign from a company where they are getting a great salary and don't take any blame for what's going on. They don't really care about the SP .

THG need a clear takeover offer asap and bod's clear out and that's the only way forward.

I have never shorted any stocks and I can understand big companies doing it with millions of shares , but how can any pi possibly make any money out of shorting a few thousand of shares with a small SP movement of 2p-3p for the sake of £10.50p Unless you are shorting with millions , are you???? Pogo,what a lot of waffle. I just asked who will end up buying and controlling the studio business it cannot be both.it's tal ways the same when ever there's a merger in the end one company always ends up with control.

Pogo, I wasn't expecting a war & peace reply it was a simple question really.

If the merger does happen who will buy and have control as they both can't and what will the SP do.

Simple.

So what does a merger really mean, either ITV buy Redbirds studio's business to control and run it or Redbirds buys itv's studio business To control and run it but they can't both run it.

So if ITV sell their studios for say £1.5bn Sp should go up a lot or we all get say 50p a share special divi,

If ITV buy Redbirds business they will need extra cash short term but business will grow more long term, maybe jam tomorrow who knows.

Either way could be an interesting week ahead.

Looks like all merger talks are on going and plastered in the mail today, so this could all be confirmed shortly but is it going to be a bid for ITV or just a big cash injection to take over control of some parts of the business. How will this change the SP , a big boost I hope to £1.50.

Wild tiger, ha ha ha, what rubbish. We all know home base went bust a few months ago and the range company took over about 50% of staff and parts on the bits left.

We will only get an RNS when the full bid is announced, no hurry I can wait a few weeks for £1.20-£1.50 bid.

Hi Graviyon, I was watching a news up-date this morning about all this from a drinks / tax guy. He says it's all to do with budget and alcohol levels etc , 50p-60p on to spirits and wine while pubs will see a drop of 1p on draft beers .

I guess this guy knows what he is talking about, I was surprised as I thought like you it was only 1p drop on beer.

In costs that is , I didn't realise just how much more tax is going on drink this April.

Due to the budget 20p-40p-60p etc are all being put on drink with extra taxes in April plus extra NI costs and added to minimum wages just how are these pubs going to make any money.

The press release above has it that MA did NOT buy the stock but did a stock exchange, so that's where all that stock come from.

Yes another great move by MA and we all know how he works, first identify an under value stock, build a 5% stake then a 10% stake, ask for a position on the board , then make a full offer of in this case £1.20. game over !!!!!!

No it's still on the bleak side at what 41p now, but that 41p will be on the bleak side when we hit 50p later today .

Ex divi date has come and gone, it was way back on 21 st Nov. Pay dupay 7 th Feb.

Have you all noticed a number of big retailers putting out warnings / job losses and big % sales drops of 5%+,so for THG to report a much smaller drop if we account for product re alinement means they have done a very good job .

I know we don't think the bod's have done a good job and need replacing, but maybe we should give them a little more credit and look forward to some growing sales and improved profits.

Well we can hope.

The bad day we have all been waiting for is now over and all the bad news is out in the open. It could have been better but I think the SP would have gone down regardless, but there were more buys than sells.

Now we have a clear path forward and a simple profitable business to build on, more important at this price we are a sitting duck to be bought out and now any good CEO of a well run company that needs these products must be running the numbers.

Tomorrow will see the start of the come back.and SP back up to 40p.
