So it looks like a big balancing act, more press speculation about another takeover offer for all or part of ITV . Everyone seems to know more or less what’s going on but no one really knows what the price will be.

So as a shareholder do we sell some at 80p ish to buy other stocks or even ITV at a lower price if no deal is done? But we all know that once you sell at 80p a deal at £1.25 ish will be announced. So is it again just sit tight for another 6 months when you could use the money from a sell now to buy a better stock.

So we are thinking wow 26/27p can't go any lower so buy buy buy, but we also all know without any confidence who knows just where the SP will end up. 20p - 50p. Gain/make money or lose more.

Yes that's my point, the raise since has taken care of the debt going forward.

Good morning tom, still trying to drive this down to 60p ish so you can buy in. Sorry I think you have missed the boat as we are heading up again to 80p+ and then £1.25 for any bid. You better just buy now and be done with it.

If others see good value in ITV with a possible takeover then maybe just maybe the Dam has done a fair job so far.

I thought the results say £215m debt for the year end ,but haven't they now almost paid that off with the last raise ????

Well MM does his normal thing and surprises everyone by coming out a day early.

For the results I must say he puts on a good spin, but it's so difficult to give a clear picture of everything after any demerger in any company. If q1 continues I guess things might turn out a bit better. But who knows.

But the latest news flash late today says they are also in talks with other parties . So sooner or later a deal will be done as it looks like have come to terms of selling all or part.

Just need to sit tight for a few more weeks, but plenty of time for many to put more shorts on to lose money.

This could be very funny, if within the next few days/weeks we get some sort of offer after all the negative posters all sold before the £1.25+ offer comes in.

If there's nothing going on surely itv must come out with an RNS about press speculation with a decline or confirm talks. ???

So going by the press /media there are / could be 2/3 interested parties in takeover talks with ITV all at different levels.

ITV hasn't yet said there are NOT any talks going on so by that it means there are.

So it could be just a question of time and price, £1.25+ would help many, but could it me more?.

I wouldn't be surprised if many that have sold or closed their shorts today thinking they will buy back cheaper come unstuck as the SP rises to 82p later today.

It could be that this drop is designed to gain stock for someone ready for a takeover offer, even though a number of posters will be very negative again. only time ( a few days ) will tell. But the SP is already coming back.

If you don't sign in then you can see all the posts from all posters even those posters you have on filter.

Just don't sign in unless you want to post something.

Wow , that's a new word for you tom balance. you haven't had a balanced view in the last 2 years it's always been negative with plenty of mud slinging and pure hate.

But I must admit the SP this time following the ex divi date only went down a little and quickly bounced back, so many / most of us got the divi and are still holding at about 80p mark without losing any money.

This time somethings different and £1+ is could be only weeks away. But if you are looking to buy in at 50p-60p I think those days have long gone. But who knows.

I just wonder how long ago this offer was made, weeks / months ago ?
